Great new GF options! I have been here a bunch of times before and they always have GF buns and other items marked GF on the menu but have told me in the past that if I am very sensitive (I have celiac) don't eat the fries bc they don't have a dedicated fryer, sort of a disappointment since they were marked GF but I went in last night and the menu had even more GF options (chicken tenders, onion rings, fish and chips) I asked the server and she said yes they are all GF as they recently changed their breading process. I am always very nervous plus I am 8+ months pregnant and def didn't want to get sick so I asked the manager and she confirmed they now only use GF flours for breading and have friers that are totally GF. I had fish and chips they were pretty good and I didn't feel sick at all. Will definitely be going back! I wish more places would do this.

Love the burger salad (without the fried onions), you can also get any of their burgers either without a bun or on a gf bun.

GF bun was very good many of the foods may be cross contaminated but the menu distinguishes these. There is such a large variety that even with a high sensitivity you will still be able to find something!

Service is always slow but they have the best GF buns. Also the GF dessert, the B Cup is amazing. Staff is aware of cross contamination and once came out to apologize that our food would be delayed because there may have been a mistake in the kitchen and they had to prep a new GF meal.

Really big gluten free menu tons of options, manager Explains everything on the gluten free menu, no pizza or pasta. BBQ sauce is disgusting way too strong, and nachos arnt w corn chips their with potato chips, throws off expectations of what ur going to expect. Tomato cucumber salad is very small and filled w onions.

My wife's dish was served cold. The GF menu is deceiving - lot's of items on it colntain gluten; these are msrked with asterisks that are not at first noticable. The large salad I ordered was small.

Unfortunately, not all food that is labeled GF is actually GF. Beware of the wings. My sister wasn't notified until after she ate some of them that they weren't GF. Even though both the hostess and waitress were informed of three of the party having celiac. Needless to say, my sister spent the remainder of her birthday extremely uncomfortable and sick to her stomach. Beyond that, the food was good. Fried foods are made with rice flour which is why there are a lot of GF options.

I had fish and chips which was awesome!! I think everything that’s fried is gluten free. The waitress was super knowledgeable. The reason I gave it 4 stars is just because I was really excited to try the onion rings but they were undercooked and super doughy. Probably just a one time thing and I’d still recommend it because I didn’t get sick and the fish was amazing.

My daughter and I have celiac disease. We decided to try this place out based on the reviews on Find Me Gluten Free. The food is AMAZING. I opted to not have a gluten free bun with my burger and got the blue cheese burger. I'm just not a fan of gluten free buns -they seem to be more trouble than they're worrh. It was amazing and was presented beautifully. My daughter's gluten free bun was probably the most normal looking gluten free bun I've seen. I had the chipotle fries and my daughter had the sweet potato fries. They also had our favorite hard cider. The staff seemed knowledgeable about cross contamination. Neither of us got sick after eating here.

So so so so so good. We came on the 4th of July, so it was extremely busy, but the kind hostess was willing to move tables around since we came specially for the gluten free food. It was amazing. I’ve never felt so full since I went gluten free, I’ve never enjoyed a meal so much, and I’ve never had such a good burger (gluten free or normal). The bun was amazing, the meat was incredible, and the fries (made in a dedicated fryer) were fantastic. On top of that, the atmosphere was good and our waitress was very nice. This is a must if you’re in DC!

GF friendly, but dairy-free folks note that the onion rings are made with buttermilk. (Sigh) Noisy, so if you want to converse, sit in the section under the low roof. Also beware of the nighttime highway repair this year (2018-19) and take alternate routes after 9 p.m.

We were in D.C. for a few days and had to come back a second night because the food was so delicious. The onion rings are amazing! You would never guess they were GF. The first night I had the fish and chips which were good but they are seasoned with Old Bay which was a little strong for me but still good. The second night I had the fish sandwich which the best GF bun and tarter sauce helped to hide some of the Old Bay seasoning.

I’m celiac and have eaten here safely many times. I get a simple tavern burger (no sauce) in the grass with fries, so I can’t speak to the quality of gf buns but I am confident they are careful about cross contact. The food is heavy pub food so I have to be careful not to overdo it, but it’s very good for what it is. It’s one of the few places in the area where I feel safe eating.

Worth the wait! Everyday there was a long wait to get in here. We went at an off time when the wait was shorter and figured out why everyone was waiting around to eat there. My son and I agreed best blue cheese burger ever combo of Bourbon BBQ sauce, caramelized onions and blue cheese was so good ! My daughter who has celiac enjoyed real chicken tenders fries not grilled and delicious French fries. My husband has the dish and chips which was outstanding also GF. They don’t have any wheat flour in the back so no worries about Cross-contamination except for the hamburger buns. They seem to have a pretty good protocol for that and the gluten-free bun was delicious on my burger. No one got sick a real treat for gluten free folks.
