When I crave fried okra, this is where I go. In fact I’ve been guilty of pigging out on an all fried menu - chicken, the okra, green tomatoes. Even though that wasn’t the most healthy choice, that meal was maybe the first time in three years I’d been able to find reliably GF fried vittles.

On a later visit for a quick breakfast, I went healthy with GF granola and fresh berries over Greek yogurt and a fresh squeezed apple, carrot, and ginger juice. The berries were remarkably plump and juicy, and the yogurt was as creamy as a pudding. It’s served with a small cup of honey. I used only a quick drizzle to sweeten the yogurt. As tasty as that was, the flavors of the juice were very well balanced and calmed my angry tummy. I think it was called an Apple Zinger. At $6 the juice was not cheap, but it’s healing quality was worth every penny. Their menu can satisfy both indulgent and healthy cravings. I really do love this little cafe.
