I have never felt so confident eating gluten free at a restaurant. My wife and I found this slice of heaven and I was like a kid in a candy store. I would have ordered everything on the menu if I could have. I had the fried chicken, fried okra, and butter pecan cake, all GF and all delicious. My wife had the GF meatloaf and loved it (I took several bites and concurred with her).
When we arrived, DeSean greeted us more friendly than we have ever been greeted at a restaurant. After visiting with him and him getting me comfortable at how serious they take gluten intolerance and celiac disease (which I have), I settled in. I didn't expect the owner Tegess, to visit with us too. He shared stories about how this restaurant is not just about making a buck but truly helping people that don't get many options at restaurants as they could. A fine gentleman and a great proprietor.
Rest assured though, this is not just a plethora of good GF food; it's just great food!
Tegess, as a real estate developer south of Houston, Texas, please let me know when you want to expand into the Houston market. I will make it happen!
