Ate here once and got very sick. There has to be cross contamination going on somewhere. I was not impressed with the quality of food either.
Was very impressed. They took great care to make sure my food was handled properly. Really enjoyed having ground turkey. Spicy and delicious rice bowl with lots of toppings. My favorite were the chips which didn't bother me like Salsaritas did and all the differ t salsa! Yummy

The food was good and I didn't get sick. However, they are not very knowledgeable about gluten. The lady did change her gloves and told me I couldn't eat the flour tortillas. She did not know the corn tortillas had possible gluten contamination. She then referred me to white nutrition chart on the wall. It was a nutrition chart, not an allergy chart but I was able to pull the allergen chart from their website. They were very friendly just didn't know about gluten or cross contamination.
All of their meats are gluten free, and you’re pretty much safe around the rest of their products (minus the flour tortillas). Just ask the staff to change their gloves and it’s no problem.
The website and employees will tell you all the meat is GF, while their official nutrition menu points out that nearly all meat uses shared prep space and is cross contaminated. Makes me worry that this place does GF as a fad, but doesn't take it seriously for those of us for which it is medically necessary. Still 3 stars because they do offer a limited number of actually GF items.
The staff had no clue about gluten allergies. There is a list of non gluten free items on the wall. The staff told us the items on the list were gluten free. Decided this was not the place for me to eat.
Chipotle is better and safer. Their menu is clearly marked however many toppings are cross contaminated. The server changed his gloves for me and got me fresh cheese and lettuce upon request. He was great. However they didn't realize their chips weren't gf. Thankfully other reviews let me know.
Cross contamination is a problem, even if they change their gloves, since they reach into the bins to get the ingredients. I have tried this location during busy and quiet times and have suffered each time.
They may have gf options but really, the only options are the burrito bowl or a salad. The taco shells and chips are fried in same oil they fry flour tortillas. They were unfriendly and I got charged like $.75 for a little strip of sour cream. I didn't find it very flavorful and it's overpriced. Probably won't return
Website touts gluten free but NOT safe for people with celiac. All food items are prepared on the same equipment - i.e. Corn tortillas steamed in the same steamer as flour, flour tortillas fried into salad bowls in the same fryer as tortilla chips and corn tortillas. Meat cooked on the grill with quesadillas w/ flour tortillas. A haven for cross contamination, but the staff was very sweet about explaining it all to me when I asked and very apologetic for not having anything safe for me to eat!
This was our 2nd visit to a Barberitos in GA as we traveled & it too was delicious. They are very allergy aware & friendly. The food is very fresh & we were all able to eat together safely.
We absolutely loved the food & the service! Very fresh & yummy! Although the hard shell tacos & nacho chips could possibly be cross contaminated (which they explained right away), both my son & I did not have an issue at all!
The posted menu on the wall is marked with all GF items which includes the nacho chips, taco bowls, salads and tacos (hard and soft shell). Everything was fresh and excellent! We will happily return.
Nice option, good food, I got chicken and steak tacos and my husband got the fish. Everything was gluten free except the flour tortillas, staff did change gloves when I told them I had allergy.
the only option here is a bowl full of filling. Unlike celiac friendly Mexican restaurants they fry their naturally gluten free corn chips in contaminated oil. The bowl was tasty but I was extremely disappointed that I could not eat corn chips with it.
Just tried to go here after reading about their gluten-free options on their website, and the staff was completely clueless when it came to cross-contamination issues. After asking a few questions regarding things like whether they could change gloves and possibly get any items from the back that hadn't been handled already with tongs used for gluten-containing items, and getting complete BLANK STARES back from every staff member on the line, I decided it wasn't worth it...too big of a risk. Very disappointed. :-(
