Delicious and so accommodating. Multiple people marked up a menu for me and double checked everything. Everyone knew what was gf and it was delicious. I was able to eat most of the menu with some adjustments that they were happy to make. This is my third time eating at this chain and second at this location. Def a favorite.

I can't assess all locations of this restaurant chain but the one in Fairfield CT has plentiful gluten free options, particularly the tapas. The wait staff is generally (though not always)knowledgeable about celiac and make great suggestions as to appropriate choices. When they aren't helpful, the manager is easily summoned and accommodating. The food is good and there's great variety.

Food and service were great. They marked up my menu to show what items were not safe or had possible cross contamination. Plenty to choose from and everything was delicious. The leeks dish and the mushrooms with goat cheese were my favorites this time.

They were so attentive jete, that they actually marked up a menu and crossed out the things that were not safe. They really know what they are doing and the food was wonderful.

Overall a fairly safe place to eat. It is really hectic in there and you need to stay attentive though. Waiter marked up the menu - some things are never safe, some can be sautéed instead (cooked separate is how I understood it), and some are always safe.

The main issue is that the waiter doesn’t bring the food, the food runners do. They usually don’t say anything - drop plates and run / no time for question or confirmation (if you do catch them, often they don’t know anyway).

I decided to have faith. Luckily when one dish was brought over incorrectly, seconds before eating it the waiter caught it and stopped me. I thanked him, he took the wrong dish (kale salad w a gluten topper), and the small plate I had with several things on it since it was now cross contaminated.

I am overall not sure if I got anything contaminated, I didn’t feel bad but also wasn’t perfect - though overall felt ok about the experience.

My suggestion for the restaurant is to: 1. Have food runners clearly denote when something is made safe for allergies or celiac, or require servers/mgrs to bring specialty food instead of it’s not possible. 2. Don’t mark up the menu every time by hand. Just make a celiac version once and post it and educate the staff. 3. When somebody does screw up, don’t charge the customer for it. In fact the small plate had half of the other dishes on it - it all went in the trash after and only the kale salad was remade.

All in all room for improvement but the server did their best under the restaurants policies!

Nothing but love for Barcelona! This place was may fav before my diagnosis and I was so pleased to still be able to go. The waitress marked up the menu for me (and the star of the menu, the potatoes, can be baked instead of fried!)

Great experience. GF bread. Waiters mark up menu when you ask. Probably 70% (ish) of menu can be GF. Very yummy for fancy night out.

Amazing experience, our server was extremely knowledgeable and marked up not one but two menus for us. Couldn’t snap pictures of the food, only empty plates, but I swear it is worth it!

The vibe is cool. The drinks are great. The food tastes pretty good. However, from a gluten perspective, this place is not safe. The menus are not marked and they scratch items you can have.

I’ve been here a few times and have gotten sick each time. My wife likes it so I was willing to go back.

They serve a lot of their food on wooden plates which aren’t safe for gluten because it gets absorbed into the wood. I’m surprised the safety ratings by others is so high.
