I ate at Barnwood twice while staying at Great Wolf Lodge. Both times, I informed the server of my celiac disease, asked all the usual questions, and ordered items that were marked GF on the menu.
The first night, I ordered steak and fries. The food was great, and I was fine.
The second night, I ordered a wedge salad and BBQ nachos. After putting in the order, the server came back to let me know that the nachos were not safe, because both the cheese and BBQ sauce contained gluten. To be clear, this was an item marked gluten free on the menu, but it actually contained gluten. I changed the nachos part of the order to wings with a Korean sauce, which was marked GF on the menu, and the server said were fully gluten free.
The food was great, but I got severely glutened. I’m still sick as I write this review.
Do NOT trust this restaurant. The fact that they mark gluten-containing items as gluten free is completely unforgivable. As my experience illustrates, they cannot be trusted to serve a celiac-safe meal.
As an interesting aside, there’s a screenshot of the menu here on FMGF that includes both the wings and nachos, but they are NOT marked GF. Those same items WERE marked GF in the menu I had (Jan 2024).

Was very good, chef made sure allergies were taken care of. To the point of having people run back to double check ingredient lists. I had a few options, but very limited due to egg & dairy allergies. The downside is the price. Man it is expensive, but it's the only place in the resort that has GF labeled. So I felt relatively safe.

Ordered the wedge salad and wilderness bowl with grilled chicken. Everything was great. It was my husbands birthday and they gave us free raspberry sorbet that was also gluten free. Spoke to the sous chef who was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Very pleasantly surprised at the knowledge, options, and quality of what we received. 8-year old daughter with Celiac can *never* have fries and a burger anywhere, but gluten free bun, dedicated fryer, and experienced staff that did everything with fresh gloves and in a separate area of the kitchen made her year. She was happy with the flavor, too. Highly recommend this restaurant (they could do pasta and other options as well) for kids as well as adults as a safe place with perfectly fine food 👍
