Excellent service, friendly staff, delicious food. All meats are grilled so no gluten goes on the grill. Gluten free menu items clearly marked.

So good! Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu. My margarita was good too. I think the corn tortillas were the best ones I have ever had.

Great experience. The server was very knowledgeable and unprompted the manager came over to explain what cross contamination precautions they take. They did say about the shared fryer but there were still plenty of options.

Nice place with proper celiac safe procedures in place. My waiter said they mark all celiac food as an allergy and that the kitchen takes it seriously. No chips and guac because they fry churros in the same fryer, and the potato taco is marked as gluten free but he told me it wasn’t safe for celiacs as it’s also put in the same fryer.

Not sure if I experienced cross contamination, or bad fish because my mom who got the same dish wasn’t feeling great either. I was excited after so many good reviews but you’ll definitely need to advocate for yourself here. Chips are not gf they will bring you tortillas if you ask, and they may or may not show up before the meal is over.

I arrived around 3pm and had strawberry fresca, chicken pozole soup and fish tacos. Everything was delicious, I wanted to order tamales but they are ready closer to “dinner” time. They were well versed in what is gluten free on the menu. There were desserts too, but I was too full to try them. I would go back for sure when in San Diego

Fantastic!!! Server was knowledgeable, I was bummed about not being able to have the chips (shared frier) but the server brought out tortillas for me to have with the guac and salsa! I had the carnitas tacos and they were fantastic. Corn tortillas were handmade and so thick and delicious! They had multiple GF deserts too.

I ordered carnitas tacos and the gf flourless cake. Just amazing. The corn tortillas didn't break at all, the tacos were super full, and the cake was *so good*. Service was great; super fast and knowledgeable about why things were gluten free. Thanks, Jeremy!

Wonderful open air atmosphere. Gluten free items are marked on the menu, the waiter stated they make everything fresh daily and the taste reflects that! All tacos made with house made corn tortillas, thick not thin so it doesn’t crumble when you eat it. - I asked about the chips since they were not marked gluten free, it is due to a shared fryer. Made me feel more safe about what was marked GF knowing they under stand CC.

Ok this place is our best gf celiac experience by far. Ever. Our server was super knowledgeable- he had a friend with celiac and he knew the menu by heart. He explained they didn’t have a gf dedicated fryer, and that’s why the chips and some other items weren’t labeled gf. However, their fryer is changed regularly and The only item I can see that goes in their fryer is wings- which he said they don’t sell a lot of. We ordered gf for our celiac sons, and ordered other items for the rest of us. We used our Nima sensor and tested many items- and seriously every item came back gf and safe. The tortilla chips, the FRIES!! The rice. Everything. We had 2 super happy kids. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was great. It’s not a cheap restaurant, but we thought worth it as a from scratch place. Of course, anything fried will be hit of miss depending on the day. So trust your judgment.

Very friendly great service but not blown away by 20 dollar tacos. The tortillas are really good but the chicken could use some more seasoning. Also think that 14 would be more reasonable. Other reviews say gluten free churros available… they do not have a dedicated frier so sadly no gluten free churros or tortilla chips for that matter either.

We loved it and went there twice in our 1 week trip to San Diego. The tacos were great, and very different from other tacos I've had before. They tasted very homey. You could taste the grill char on the chicken. I got the spicy chicken taco both times I went and they had different sauces so flavor might vary day to day.
But the star of the show is Churros! Nothing with gluten goes in the frier and they have 3 desserts that are all gluten free, but the Churros are amazing! It's so rare to get something like this while GF, you have to go.

There are lots of gluten free options available on the menu, but the food wasn’t great. I tried the chicken taco and the potato taco, and both are very basic and flavorless. While they did a good job with the gluten free aspect, the flavors were lacking.

Very knowledgeable about celiac. The chips are marked as GF on the menu but when I mentioned I had celiac, they said those were not celiac safe as they fry them in the same fryer. Took my order very seriously and even had the kitchen make my tacos twice to ensure there was no cross contact!

Delicious! The manager came out and talked to me about how they make all “celiac” safe food on a separate area. While there are 100% guarantees, they did a stand up job making my food prep as safe as possible, and I didn’t get sick. Cutris was our waiter, and he was awesome!

This place is absolutely one of the BEST places by far for dining. They are very educated on knowing about gluten allergies. Michael will recommend what's best for what you typically like & what their specialties are. Their food & chips & sauces are all made from scratch as well. For those who DON'T have gluten issues, my brother-in-law who eats Chile relleno wherever he goes says this is to die for! You won't be disappointed and tell Michael how you read our review!! Can't say enough of how impressed we are with this place and with Michael!!!

So many gluten free options. They mark everything on their regular menu so you know. Delicious food and friendly staff!
has Gf items on menu, sat down to order and spoke to the server who said there is a lot of risk in their kitchen even with Gf items. did not feel safe as a celiac, wouldn't recomend if you have serious issues with gluten. risk too high.

Clearly labeled options on the menu and many can be altered to eliminate gluten containing sauces or spices. Great tamales, tacos and more. At the time of our visit the chips were good to go as there were no battered/fried items on menu with which to share the fryer.
Our server was awesome and knew all the gluten containing ingredients and was a great resource. He also altered some orders so our son with celiac could get what he wanted.
Great vibe, casual and quality ingredients in a cool, transitioning neighborhood.

Great GF options - cool atmosphere...but pricey! Go during happy hour to avoid overpriced menu items.

Easy to see gf options on menu, and many to choose from. Amazing Mexican food in a low key environment!
