So much of the menu is gluten free that they mark the few items that are *not* safe! For reference, my partner is extremely sensitive to cross contamination so we have to be extra picky. We visited the Inman Park location.
On the downside, the bar was uncomfortably crowded for Covid with the tables right next to each other. While the staff are wearing masks, I didn't see a single patron with one, even before being seated. So even outside I was a little uncomfortable with the risk. The place was also super loud, but the music was good. They've gone completely paperless so you sit, scan the table's barcode, and then open their app. You place your order in the app, marking each item with allergens as needed (gluten, dairy, nuts, shellfish, etc) and even pay through the app at the end of the meal, so contact with staff is minimal (an introvert's dream! 🤣).
The guacamole wasn't very good at all. Way too much lime and salt, no tomato, and it seemed at least partially made with Florida avocados because it was super bland beyond just hot salty and sour. Not worth the money. But the TACOS...oh the tacos were a different story. They're small, so if you're used to eating three tacos, you'll want about five of these. And they are SO GOOD.
I had the chicken verde, which wasn't that spicy but had a great smoky grill flavor. The duck was my least favorite, as it was oily and a little bland, but tender. The ribeye was good. The crispy oysters were my absolute favorite, just lovely and tender. My partner liked the mushroom tacos best, followed by the oyster.
Overall we were very impressed and plan to make this place a regular visit whenever we're in Atlanta. While the tacos are small, the rice bowls look like they're a good sized meal, and might be better value for money if you're on a budget.
