Bar Taco is almost dedicated gluten free (couple of drawers and a kids item is not) and super safe for celiacs. Have eaten here and other locations many times without problem. Delicious food.
Great staff for gluten and sodium! Tasty foods with a lot of variety. I’d come back.
Delicious food and I don’t get sick at all! I am easily made sick and rarely take the risk to eat out. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

90% gluten free menu. The fish taco is in a GF batter and fryer.
Most everything on the menu is gf. They ask if you have any allergies before they take your order. Fried fish tacos were great and gluten free!
Edit- I have eaten here a bunch of times over past few years. As a sensitive celiac with dairy allergy, I did think they are very celiac safe although not 100%… that said, I just got a little sick after eating here. I don’t know if it’s a cross reaction from their use of low quality processed seed oils or what, but I’m really not feeling well after last night’s meal. Lots of indigestion and some stomach pain, so I am not sure what to attribute to but it’s the only thing that I ate last night that could’ve made me feel off. Im a bit confused. The food here is SOOO GOOD. As others have said almost the entire menu is celiac safe gluten free!!! They are able to also accommodate dairy and soy allergies. It’s always very loud in there though with the music so I’ll sometimes opt for takeout, that’s my only complaint.
Every time I go here it is a wonderful experience. As soon as you sit down they ask about allergies. There is also an option when ordering to put an allergy alert on the item.
My husband is celiac and we had an amazing experience. Most of the menu is gluten free, so much so they actually note the ones that AREN’T. Which is like 3 lol. Food great, knowledgeable staff, and delicious. Gelato for a dessert option too.
Everything here is GF except the kids quesadilla. Chips are safe to eat. Pricey but tasty
Always nice when I visit. Also let the staff know you need gluten-free and they are very knowledgeable and helpful. Almost all the menu options are gluten-free.

Yummy food and most items are gf.
Really fantastic. Server was knowledgeable and passed along information about my celiac to the kitchen. Nearly all the menu is GF outside of desserts and the kids menu, and GF fryers are dedicated. Pork belly, chorizo, and duck tacos were all amazing. Even got 2 free taco tokens at the end for submitting a survey.
Will definitely revisit this or one of the other locations.
Food has always been great here. While most of the food is gluten free, there's still some items that contain it being prepared in the same kitchen so be careful to note on your items that you have a reaction to gluten. Staff is very knowledgeable with gluten intolerances.
Bartaco never disappoints from a safety standpoint. The online ordering system lets you check off a gluten allergy. The portions are VERY small, but the price is reasonable. Prepare to get at least three tacos and a side to fill you up. Overall a great place with a good vibe in Bucktown.
This place had great food and lots of GF options and the staff was very accommodating with making sure there were safe options for us.
