After being seated, we were told the only GF meal available was a $38 steak. After some discussion and confirmation with the kitchen, we were then told a couple meals could be made GF by making some substitutions. My daughter and I ordered the grouper, which came with couscous and bok choy. We substituted “fingerling” potatoes for the couscous. The portions were modest and the potatoes were yellow potatoes that were quartered and fried.
My daughter’s meal was delivered with residual couscous under her fish. We didn’t realize it until she started eating her fish, but the chef must have plated it with couscous, realized the mistake, scraped off most of the couscous and then added the potatoes to the plate. We sent the plate back for them to remake the meal. The server comped my daughter’s meal, on her own, which was appreciated, but it’s of little value when your first meal on vacation makes you sick. As I sit here writing this review, my daughter is sick from contamination.
