I had the breakfast burrito, tasted great. Is it a little pricey? Perhaps. $12 for a large burrito. But frankly, I don't care. I'll second what others have said: Ignore the bad reviews. This place is dedicated GF, and we need to support that. When there's dedicated GF restaurants everywhere, then maybe we can start being picky.
EVERYTHING'S GLUTEN FREE! I had banana bread French toast and a creme brulee waffle! Ignore the reviews that say the portions are small! They are good sizes! I only got 2 things because I couldn't decide (I was so excited!) I am from out of town, I wish we had options like this near me! Memphis is VERY gluten free friendly. I will be visiting more often now! THANK YOU BEDROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IGNORE the silly negatives below. It’s nowhere close to a dive and they put allergy warnings on the menu. Food is excellent, and I’d be thrilled to see them in St Louis where we live. Food is all GF and within price range of other GF places we’ve been. Come here, it’s great!
I was excited about going to a totally gluten free restaurant on our vacation. First reaction was that this is a real dive, not very nice, not very clean, but it had great reviews on here, so we gave it a chance. I got the egg, bacon and cheese waffle sandwich and the broccoli salad. The sandwich was good the broccoli salad was not great and I ended up taking the broccoli out and just eating the rest, but not soon enough. I didn't get glutened, but I got the worse case of food poisoning I have ever experienced!! Beware!!!!
This place was a wonderful surprise on a roadtrip that took us through TN! I ordered the cheddar jalapeño biscuit with chorizo gravy and it was AMAZING- the only decent gf biscuit I’ve had since being diagnosed at the beginning of this year! My friend who was with me is not gf but loved her meal as well! If we weren’t driving 8 hrs after leaving this place, then I definitely would have loaded up on some of their grab and go meals, but we didn’t have a cooler with us. Highly recommend, and I hope to go back some day!
Followed the reviews on this app. Great gluten free breakfast. Waffles are soooo good!! Bacon was crispier than I like it, but still good. Eggs were delicious. Nice to go to a dedicated gluten free restaurant. Going back tomorrow.
So yummy! Glad everything was gluten free!
Fantastic food! Hard to believe it's all gluten free. Even our non-gluten-free friends loved it. Update: This place is spectacular. Try the thunder chicken and waffles.
The entire restaurant is celiac friendly and the waffles are to die for! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Don't miss Bedrock in Memphis, EVERYTHING on menu is gluten free! Delicious! I will be back for the chicken and waffles. Kathleen
Everything is gluten free and the food is delicious!
All food and desserts are gluten free and delicious!! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about not just gluten allergies, but others as well. They cook fresh for breakfast and lunch. Also have precooked Paleo and Whole30 meals and desserts to go.
We have eaten at many gf restaurants and this is by far the best! Our daughter has Celiac so she was ecstatic to see the huge menu selection. We had: huevos rancheros with masa cakes (2 orders bc they were THAT good), bacon cheeseburger waffle, turtle brownie waffle, power waffle, and banana waffles. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Memphis!!!!!
Everything on the menu is GF. The waffles are amazing - thick and fluffy - some of the best waffles my (gluten eating) husband and I have ever had. Best part: not worrying about getting sick!
Cute little place and delicious food! Completely gluten-free and really so good
For those with nut allergies, beware. they make most things with almond flour.
Awesome cafe!! Don't let the casual atmosphere fool you this is some of the best food you will in Memphis Celiac or not. Efficient staff. Delicious food. Food is made to order in a timely fashion. Hamburgers, Patty melts, waffles , pancakes and cookies and muffins ALL GLUTEN FREE!
Omg!!!! I found celiac friendly in Memphis .... And I've looked and looked!! Everything on their menu is form free! So so so excited💕💕💕
delicious brunch waffles. my son was in heaven
Y'all!!!!! Our new favorite! We will stop here every time we are in town!!! So thankful for kid friendly options!! Our son is very sensitive! Celiac disease is awful and it felt so good to eat out and not worry one bit and still have amazing food!!! The owner is presh!!!! Thank you Bedrock!!!
WOW!! Don't miss this little gem. All the things I wish I could eat everyday and then some. All these complaints about price......YOUR CHEAP!!
Amazing GF food! Prices are appropriate for the quality and quantity provided. I can't wait to come back!
Stopped here with my daughter for her 1st morning breakfast after moving to this town. She was so thrilled to have true dining options that are safe to eat!! The servings sizes were ample, the coffee was great!! The staff was welcoming and pleasant. I'm sure she will become a regular here when she has the time to eat out. Thank you for being a safe option for her!! May your business thrive!!!!
I totally agree with all the reviews that say this place is overpriced for what you get. We had two sandwiches (brisket patty melt and turkey club), 2 bottles of water, and a canned soft drink for $30. There were no sides with the sandwiches (no chips nothing). The sandwiches weren't that big either. For the price I thought the sandwich would be large so I shared with my husband. We have been to a lot of dedicated gluten free restaurants/cafes/bakery all over the country and this one isn't that fabulous. If you are desperate and need to eat gluten free and are in that part of Memphis...yes it is safe and there is food. But probably not something we will return for when we are back in town which is pretty often. There are a lot better options if you have the time to drive. There is paid street parking in front of the restaurant. I have also uploaded pictures.
I agree with the other posts that it is a little expensive for what you get. I got a waffle with bananas on it and it cost $10. However, the food was really tasty and all GF.
Dedicated gluten free facility. Food is incredible and inexpensive. The smoked chicken salad is hands down the best chicken salad I've ever had.
I was so excited to try this place, but was disappointed in the food and price. Three of us ate for $60- we each ordered from the menu and had an extra item to share. My daughter didn't care for anything we ordered and wouldn't even eat the waffle. The brunch menu only had the Power Waffle, which I think has protein powder and has a bit of an aftertaste. The egg sandwich was fair, the egg was over cooked and not seasoned at all, I only ate half. The jalapeño biscuits and chorizo was good, I enjoyed it. The Churro waffle was SUPER sweet, ate a few bites. The girl at the counter was super friendly, the guy in the kitchen was just plain rude. Not certain whether I would try again next time in town
As someone with Celiac, I am used to paying a little more for gluten free food, but this place is overpriced. My husband and I went today, and he got the churro waffle for $12 and it was one waffle. You'd think you would get more than one waffle for $12. It did not fill him up. I got a waffle and scrambled eggs. It was okay, but the eggs were nothing special. I could make better at home. We also came on a Sunday and their full menu wasn't even available, only a small brunch menu. Wish we would have known that before we came. The food wasn't terrible, but two waffles and a scrambled egg are not worth $30.
Love love love! So rare to go to a restaurant with friends and be able to try all the food they get too :)
Bacon french toast is amazing!
Wonderful quaint all GF cafe. Delicious food! Hip staff, relaxed atmosphere. I had chicken salad and bacon & jalapeño slaw - yum! Husband had lunch special of smoked sausage & Chicken Hash w pimento cheese grits. Don't miss this place. We'll be back!!
General Tsao Chicken and Waffles in a dedicated GF place! I am traveling with a group and they were going to a popular breakfast spot where I would he relegated to nothing so I sent them off and then found this place through the app. Really good breakfast choices, lots of choices
Came in yesterday on my first day in Memphis and had a pleasant experience. Got the Brat, which was quite good. Brought my friend back the next day, but we got there in between lunch and dinner, so the kitchen was closed. :( However, the woman was SO KIND and said she couldn't stand me looking so distraught, so she quickly made us up something (ordered the BBLT this time, my friend got the sweet potato side and green beans). The aoli sauce was absolutely delicious. THANK YOU SO MUCH. :)
Great waffle + bacon. No issues.
We we came here only on our last day in Memphis, if we had known we would have come here on the first day avoiding to drive out to Whole Foods. We we had pancakes and omelette and loved every single bite. Too bad the wouldn't prepare anything from the lunch menu before 11am or we would have ordered to take away, but we had to leave Memphis by 10am.
I will be dreaming about the bacon, egg, and cheese waffle until I come back here. 😍
OMG!!! I'm in love!!! Think I'll eat every meal here. Just had most amazing pancakes and waffle in my gluten free life xoxoxoxo THANK YOU!!!!!!
So nice to be able to order anything! We had waffle cheeseburger, banana bread French toast, chicken and waffles special, and it was all great! The waffles are large and crispy and have a slight banana flavor.
Always love places where everything is gluten free!
OMG!!!! Great to have a place where you can eat freely without having to worry about getting sick. We went for Sunday brunch and it was delicious...the waffles were awesome😁😁
A fantastic experience all around. To start: it's all completely gluten free, all of it. Such an odd experience to walk in and be able to eat literally everything. Secondly: It's all delicious. The stereotype may normally be "gluten free = flavor free" but that's certainly not in effect here. After trying multiple dishes I can attest that nothing that is not delicious is served here. Finally: It's a really nice location with a wonderful staff who cares and knows their food, as well as people's allergies to a degree you wouldn't expect from someone with no sensitivity. The owner made the choice to be gluten free along with living a very fit life style, all of them are great folks. Also, located very near Beale Street, good to stop if for lunch or drunk food in the evening, AND it's a market for gluten free and paleo foods. tl;dr - everything is completely gluten free, everything is delicious, the staff is great, the locations is great. Would definitely visit again!
Great food and very friendly atmosphere! The whole family was happy! Thank you!
Awesome!!! All gluten free menu. Smoothies are phenomenal too. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Paleo type fare available.
The waffles and pancakes have too much coconut sugar if you are a diabetic. I love the idea of this place, but the items were limited due to other parts of my diet. The club sandwich was fantastic, but beware some of the items have bacon on and in them. I would have given this five stars if the breakfast had a lot less sugar.
Excellent, excellent, the food was great, people were wonderful!! Waffles were FANTASTIC, French Toast WONDERFUL, steel cut oats as well; EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!! The choices in coolers were things we had not seen in a very long time; PECAN PIE, ginger cookies, gluten free granola........ A must for all but especially Celiac's! But we were with others who were not gluten free and they were equally as impressed!
Gluten free breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sunday brunch too! Definitely go for the waffles!
