Great food. I’ve never had any issues with getting sick. They have a good range of menu items and the polenta is amazing. Definitely would recommend.

The plates were colored to signify that the food was gluten free. They served complimentary gluten free bread which I rarely see and appreciated a lot! Their menu was expansive and allowed for appetizer, salad, entree, AND dessert options! I was very happy with the experience and service we received by the friendly and knowledgeable staff!

I stopped in today while driving through Raleigh. I had the gluten free focaccia bread, it was excellent. My meal tested positive for gluten when I used my Nina gluten sensor so I could not eat it. I ordered the chicken polenta. The manager was very apologetic and understanding and not sure how cross contamination happened but told me they do take precautions and clean very well. I’m hopeing the bread was not contaminated as I didn’t test it but I could still tell it was gluten free by the texture. I’d recommend this place to the non celiacs but not sure if it’s safe for celiacs. My gluten sensor was wrong on one other occasion and I’d eaten the food when the results showed gluten and I had no reaction.. I’m not sure what to think about my visit today. Great customer service and I felt like they really do care about keeping customers with allergies safe.

All GF dishes come out on different plates. There is a GF section of the kitchen as well.

Amazing gluten free raviolis and stuffed shells!!! I have never had shells in my life before, so it was a great treat! Their GF bread is AMAZING too. I was scared it wasn’t gluten free, it tasted THAT good.

I LOVE this place! They not only have a wide variety of delicious gluten-free options, but all of their staff genuinely cared and were so helpful. They even brought out gluten-free bread just for me, when they brought out the rest of the table’s bread. Incredible food and overall experience, unlike any I’ve had thus far!

Had a great experience here! I called to make a reservation and they immediately asked about dietary restrictions. At the restaurant I sat down and they noticed me looking at a gluten free menu and picked up my plate and brought out a different colored plate to identify GF. They have amazing GF focaccia. Polenta was good too. Looking forward to trying the pizza. Didn’t get sick

This place is pricey, but it’s really delicious. They have good gluten free options and even have there own line of gluten free pizzas which are amazing. Last time I was there I got the gluten free baked ziti because they were out of stuffed shells. Now, the baked ziti is not on the menu, but they can make it for you, allergy safe! It was delicious! Never gotten sick!

Amazing gluten free options and have been serving gluten free for many years. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and have a great process for helping all staff know who approach the table that you have a GF requirement (when you tell the staff you are GF they change the bread plate out for a colored one). Best restaurant in Raleigh for gluten free Italian by far.

Great gluten free selections. Pasta, and they even serve bread that is gf while you wait for your meal and it is yummy. Though it would be nice to have more than one piece of gf bread at an Italian restaurant. Still delicious.

New food runner mixed up gluten free and regular bread (causing person with celiac disease to eat gluten). Server was fine, but manager tried to dismiss it as not a big deal because it was only a bite. Did not offer to comp the meal or any other way of making things right. Will not be going again.

The best place for GF Italian in Raleigh and my favorite GF restaurant in the area. They know how to make sure your food is uncontaminated and they offer a full menu from breads to dip in olive oil, appetizers, entrees, pizzas to desserts. They usually have a GF beer as well. My non-celiac friends all love this place. It is usually busy so reservations are a must.

We just finished a fabulous meal here and had to add another 5 star review. Great GF options and very knowledgeable staff. They use different color plates for the gluten free food, and made sure to bring some gluten free bread out before dinner. Wanted to stay for dessert because there were plenty of options but were just too full. All the gluten filled meals were wonderful as well, this was a great find, thanks to the app. Highly recommend!!

Bella Monica is AMAZING. The food is so good and there are a ton of gluten free options! The waitstaff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The GF focaccia bread and tiramisu are really impressive, along with the brunch selection. I will definitely be coming here for brunch more often! By the way, the signage is terrible. The front of the restaurant has a sign that says "pizza," but it's covered by a big tree. We weren't sure we were at the right place until we got to the door...

Incredible food! I checked with the waitress to make sure my stuffed shells were really gluten free- that's how good they were. They take so many precautions to make sure you're safe and truly understand cross contamination, which unfortunately most restaurants don't. The wine, focaccia and dessert were all incredible as well. Genuinely great, quality food. I'm so excited I found this place and can not stop raving about it. I can't wait to go back!

I believe this is the best gf restaurant in Raleigh. I see people insulting the pizza, but if you are going to Bella Monica for pizza, you are missing out on the great food the chef prepares. If you want pizza, there are good gf pizza places. I always get a chicken dish or pork medallions. The sauces are wonderful. The gf bread drizzled with herbed olive oil is delightful. The salad is a feast for the eyes. I don't care for the flourless chocolate cake, but there are other gf desserts.

The owners at Bella monica opened a restaurant to recreate the recipes their Italian nana made for them as children. they use only imported San marzano tomatoes for their sauce and the f latbread pizzas are made with fresh ingredients. on the gluten-free menu, all the ingredients from the rice f lour crust to expeller pressed olive oil are clearly listed so those with allergies can eat without worry.
