Great variety on dedicated gluten-free menu. The brussel sprout and calamari appetizers were amazing. The mushrooms and mussels were good too. I got the shrimp and grits entree but was disappointed because the grit cakes were so soaked in oil they were not edible.
Knowledgeable staff and great customer service. They asked during reservation booking and a reminder call about allergies . They used a red plate system to identify me as gluten-free.

Gluten free focaccia brought to your table! Enough said. Well, have to add the delicious pasta and decadent tiramisu. Make a reservation because this place gets packed (for good reason)

I’ve been here a few times and my stomach is usually upset. It’s hard to know for sure if maybe I am sensitive to something else but idk. I went last night and had the polenta main dish and my stomach is not right today. I’m still new to celiac so sometimes it’s hard for me to tell what’s going on. I am very very sensitive to cross contamination. I probably will go back but won’t try the polenta again.

Our favorite place to eat whenever we visit Raleigh! Colored plates designate the person who is gluten free. They have a separate gluten free menu with nice selection of options. Bring a gf focaccia with olive oil so you get to have bread like the rest of the table. Had the chicken Parmesan with pasta and it was wonderful!

Very extensive GF menu. Their gluten free bread is the best I’ve had, salads very creative and fresh. Great staff. Highly recommend.

I love the Bella Monica experience. I feel special - in a good way - being gluten free. The plates for gluten free orders are colored, versus the regular meals being on white dishes, so I feel confident they've paid attention to prevent cross-contamination. There's a whole menu dedicated to GF, and it's many many options. I'm thankful I don't have to sacrifice any aspect of my dining experience, they even have GF bread as an appetizer (and it's GOOD). Even a few great GF desserts. I'm dairy free too, so that's a bit more limiting and I really enjoy everything I've had here. Thanks for taking care of us!!

I have eaten here multiple times and never been sick. This is one of the safest places for celiacs to eat in Raleigh and is one of the only safe Italian restaurants in the area. I’ve ordered take out and eaten in the restaurant. I have also ordered a variety of items here. They label gf items and even have gf bread.

I placed a curbside order and got glutened. I have never been glutened so badly. I think the culprit was the tiramisu (which was supposed to be the gf kind but it was the only thing that didn’t have a gf sticker on it). I’m really disappointed cause I love this place.

This restaurant has tons of gluten free options including desserts and bread! I had the Chicken Parm and it was one of the best I ever had. I will definitely make this one of my top local restaurants!!

Outstanding food! Yes, the bread everyone is talking about tastes just like Italian bread. I ate the shrimp and grits, my wife ate the baked ziti and both were phenomenal.
They are very knowledgeable of celiac. Separate gluten free menu, separate dish ware for an allergy.

They have a pretty extensive gluten free menu. We ordered take-out, and the GF dishes were very clearly marked with a GF sticker which was nice and reassuring. My daughter was thrilled with the GF focaccia bread, and it looked delicious! A couple of us didn’t love the particular dish we ordered, but we will definitely be back. My celiac daughter did not get sick, so this was a win.

Doing good gluten-free Italian is hard and Bella Monica is one of the best I've had. The staff is knowledgeable of the needs of those with allergies and food comes out marked for allergies. One of my favorite things is they do gluten-free garlic bread! While the food and service are good, I am disappointed in the variety of gluten-free pasta dishes offered. I would consider eating here more often if there was a larger variety of gluten-free choices. It's still great to have a go-to Italian place that I can eat at with non-Celiac friends. They also have an excellent wine selection by the way.

When told a person needs gluten free, the bread plate is switched out for a colorful one. You're brought gluten free bread and all of the dishes for the meal are colorful to help mark them as gluten free. My husband can eat anything and has found that the polenta that is just on my menu is wonderful as well. There is a lot of variety and I don't feel like I'm an afterthought. I started going there before I learned I'm gluten intolerant. Great restaurant for everyone

Today was the first time I’ve been comfortable eating out since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease. This restaurant asked me as soon as I came in if I needed a gluten-free menu. They provided gluten-free bread for me when other people were getting regular bread... and they gave me a red bread plate vs the typical white one to let other staff know I had a gluten allergy.
If you didn’t know the gluten-free chicken parm was gluten-free, you would never be able to tell!
Absolutely amazing staff that was supportive and respectful of my severe allergy to gluten.
Thank you so much!

I stopped in today while driving through Raleigh. I had the gluten free focaccia bread, it was excellent. My meal tested positive for gluten when I used my Nina gluten sensor so I could not eat it. I ordered the chicken polenta. The manager was very apologetic and understanding and not sure how cross contamination happened but told me they do take precautions and clean very well. I’m hopeing the bread was not contaminated as I didn’t test it but I could still tell it was gluten free by the texture. I’d recommend this place to the non celiacs but not sure if it’s safe for celiacs. My gluten sensor was wrong on one other occasion and I’d eaten the food when the results showed gluten and I had no reaction.. I’m not sure what to think about my visit today. Great customer service and I felt like they really do care about keeping customers with allergies safe.

I LOVE this place! They not only have a wide variety of delicious gluten-free options, but all of their staff genuinely cared and were so helpful. They even brought out gluten-free bread just for me, when they brought out the rest of the table’s bread. Incredible food and overall experience, unlike any I’ve had thus far!
