Recommended by my sister who is celiac, and we had a great meal. The manager visited with me to review my allergens and pointed out which items would work for me. My husband absolutely loved his chicken parm, which is high praise. Will definitely be back.
So good! All the pasta is gluten free. There are a ton of options here. I had salmon tacos (seasonal). The tortillas were made with almond flour and parmesan. They were probably the best tacos I've ever had. Seriously. So good! My daughter had spaghetti with turkey meatballs. She ate every drop. We told them she had an allergy (celiac) It came out with a card that said, "this dish has been prepared gluten free" but it does have a standard 'we do our best' disclaimer.
Delicious dinner and they were very careful—menu is clearly labeled with GF items, and the woman taking my order made a note about my celiac. When they brought the food, there was a card on the edge of the plate identifying it as gluten free. Had the crab cakes and the goat cheese salad—both were delicious!
I loved Ruggles Green and now Bellagreen. Unfortunately the last few times I had turkey burger with GF bun I got very sick. I miss the carrot cake so much. I talked to the manager but nothing changed.
All pasta is GF and fryers too! They have GF Buns for sandwiches and burgers! They have GF deserts! And wow this place is great for celiacs! Employees are super knowledgeable and just happy to help. It’s called fast fresh food! So you order and then they bring it to you. It’s a nice casual restaurant.
My husband and I ate here on March 1 at 8:30 PM. I called ahead to be sure it was slow as another, not so lucky diner recommended. This worked for us. The staff that night was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. We enjoyed our well presented vegan meal. The young lady at the register watched over our food to be sure it was Celiac safe. Though we are reasonably hardy eaters there was more food served than we could eat. We took a doggy bag back to our hotel which is always a plus. I have no problem recommending them, and whenever we are in the area they will be on top of my list.
Healthy options and the staff were very knowledgeable and eager to boast their amazing GF menu. They assured me my meal would not come into contact with cross contamination, even though I ordered a regular cheese pizza for my son. We were very pleased with our meals and I didn’t get sick!
Terrific menu with a wide variety of salads, warm and cold sandwiches, soups, tacos, and burgers. Everything on the menu is clearly marked and is either already GF or can be made GF. My daughter ordered a burger and the GF bun looked like it was made fresh by a bakery; my daughter said it was delicious and it even came out with a card indicating it was GF. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great selection of fountain beverages (try the sparkling lemonade on tap), beer and wine.
I know one of the investors so I was very excited to hear this was opening up. The Dallas locations only serves gluten-free pasta. So there is no cross-contamination there. It was built even with celiac in mind. I have eaten there already a few times with no issues. They really seem to care and all of the food is delicious. Also very large portions if you are into that. I would definitely check it out places like this need to stay open.
So excited bellagreen has made it to the Dallas area! One of my favorite places I stopped in for lunch while traveling for work to Houston area. Gluten Free items clearly marked on menu, with so many options. Their sweet potato fries are a must try!
If you have a severe gluten allergy, then this restaurant is a risk. I ate there on a Sunday at lunch, when it was slammed, and was definitely glutened. This was after I had them redo my order. By the time I got in the car, I was feeling off. By the end of the day, I was in pain. For the next 2 days I could barely walk. The food is okay. At least it's cleaner, local food. If you don't have a severe gluten allergy this restaurant location is probably fine. If you have celiac or severe allergy, then I would only eat here when it is slow and there is a better chance of them paying close attention to the allergy alert on your ticket.
They are very educated about celiacs and do everything to ensure a safe meal, I even received a card on my plate certifying it gluten free! The food is so good, they even have desserts, I feel normal eating here.
Cannot say enough good about this place. Cool enough vibe inside super friendly staff, a great menu with AMAZING food and so many gluten free options. The fish tacos (including FRIED fish GF!) were huge and to die for. Corn chowder was also amazing, smooth and smokey. Ordered cake before I realized how much food I was getting but managed to eat every bite. I WILL be back when I'm in Houston again. PARKING NOTE: There is a garage with entrance right in the middle of the building. It looks like the restaurant is in the first floor of a condo building so it's hard to see the garage.
I have celiacs and a milk allergy. I got a Hawaiian pizza on GF crust, no cheese and sweet potato fries. It was delicious and I didn’t get sick! They also brought my plates out with little cards that noted they were gluten free, that’s a huge relief because I never know just by looking at something it’s really the GF version or not.
Very very very safe for celiac. Everything is labeled and the online menu can even specifically show you what is and not safe. The carrot cake was amazing! It’s slightly warm and with ice cream. The corn poblano seasonal soup was very good and tasted super fresh.
DELICIOUS!!! I have celiac disease and am so hesitant to try new restaurants fearing I may get sick. But, this restaurant got such great reviews, I decided to try it. I was like a kid in a candy store and ordered the GF Pizza, GF shrimp pasta, the French fries, AND the GF carrot cake. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long, long time.
They were extremely accommodating! I told the order taker that I have a "gluten allergy" and she said that they have procedures set in place to take care of me. I got the sweet potato fries (confirmed dedicated fryer), grilled fish tacos, and the best creme brulee I've ever had. When the food arrived, the chef said everything is gluten free. Highly recommend for Celiacs :)
I've worked here so I witnessed the gluten free preparation, and for the past 4 years it has been my safe haven for food. Despite the review below, the fryer IS dedicated and the fries (sweet potato & normal) are 100% GF, as well as the fried fish tacos, etc. Nothing that is fried has gluten on it. However, the only thing I would watch out for is to double check your food once you get it, as sometimes they are careless or mess up - alike most places. It depends who is working. Not everyone is educated on what gluten is or knows what gluten free vs non-gf items look like. Just double check! Other than that, it really is wonderful and I feel so grateful to have it near me. The fish and shrimp tacos are to die for, along with the sweet potato fries and the gluten free carrot cake. I love their salads (specifically blackened shrimp or oh kale yeah). Such great food. I've never spent more of my money anywhere in my life. If you're gf, this opens you up to an entire world. It was such a joy to meet fellow celiacs and provide them with the joy of getting to eat safe, tasty food. The head chef who originally created these recipes is an absolute genius and worked/s extremely hard to accommodate everyone.
Days later and did not get sick! Had the lamb burger, no bun, with the quinoa salad. The person at the counter seemed very used to getting orders like mine, assured me gloves would get changed, surfaces would be wiped, etc. Meal was delivered to me with a little card on the side that said "This meal prepared gluten-free." That was a nice, comforting touch.
The best!!! The food here is so good, and I love not having to stress over how it's prepared or explain how I need my food handled. You order gluten free preparation, and it's done. So easy, and I love not coming home sick.
They definitely tried to make our meal gluten free but the key word there is tried. We're celiac and were so excited that there was a place that had some good reviews about watching cross contamination and being knowledgable about celiac disease. Unfortunately this was not the case. At least knew about their fryer not being dedicated so we couldn't have the fries, but they sent out only one of our sandwiches on a gluten free bun and when I took it back they just switched the patty to a different bun making it 100% not gluten free. We were very clear about being celiac and even tried to double check some of the ingredients and still got sick. For a place that prides themselves in having a wide gluten free selection I was beyond disappointed. We won't be going back.
Spoke to the manager when ordering for my celiac son. She informed me the gluten free pizza was not safe, that they only wiped down the surface but continued to cook gluten and gluten free pizzas together in the same oven. She also told me the fries were not safe. They are fried in the same fryer as the veggie burgers in the morning when prepped. I am very glad she was honest with me, but we will not be returning to this location.
My must stop location when we are in the woodlands. I have celiacs and have never experienced problems with their food. Quick service and extremely good food. It's always a delight to go to a restaurant where there are gluten free choices all over the menu. Their pancakes and pizza are my favorite (not together of course)
