This was by far the worst experience I have had a restaurant. After reading positive reviews we went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. After sitting for 35 minutes waiting for a menu we finally had to go to the bar and ask. Ordering drinks took another 25 minutes. Staff were not knowledgeable about allergies and after asking numerous times what would be safe for someone with a gluten sensitivity they still did NOT come back to inform me about my choices. I ended up getting oysters so I had something to eat and they came out full of shells and sand. Save your time and go somewhere else for seafood, the service and food is not worth the extremely long wait
— Not at all
— No gluten-free information on the menu
— Not Much/None
— Poor
The chef came out to speak with me in person. Basic Creole food is mostly GF so unless it’s fried or requires a roux, what’s cooked does not have added gluten. He spoke at length about kitchen awareness re:cross contamination. I enjoyed a selection on appetizers as dinner but will go back to try some entrees. Might bring my own bread to soak up some yummy sauces as well!
