had an okay experience here. our waitress was not very friendly but did understand celiac. she had to check with the kitchen on what items were safe from cross contamination and they did not seem very confident in their answers (they said i could not have some of the gf marked items without any explanation). this confused me because i reached out on instagram prior to going and they assured me their new gf items were safe for celiac. this might’ve just been an off week as they just started offering all gf fried items, and i’ve heard good reviews from other gf people. however, i did not feel very safe here with celiac. i did not end up getting sick but i was hoping staff/kitchen staff would be more confident in their answers and training with allergies. lastly, the flavors were somewhat bland and overall i would not go back. it also took 2 hours to get all of our food during their busy brunch.

Delicious food, and many g-f options! The menu is clearly labeled as to which dishes are g-f. I have eaten here several times, always had fantastic food, never got sick.

Mentioned my daughter has Celiac Disease, and the server right away told me they have shared fryers. They have many GF labeled options, and they will tell you if they are Celiac safe or not. Food is always delicious, and if in doubt ask for the chef. Staff is trained and knowledgeable.

There are always GF options...always. I love this place for breakfast. It turns out that Southern Cuisine has many rice-based dishes. So, there is always a rice based pancake, waffle, or crepe on the menu. And, a standing item is banana buckwheat pancakes. Savory item include two different gluten free appetizers, including corn break with crackling. Also, there is always an omelette and more choices. Do not miss their cheesy grits and their breakfast potatoes are awesome.

Waitress was incredibly knowledgeable, steering me away from the pancakes due to cross contamination. I ordered the corn cakes which were soft on the inside and perfectly golden brown on the outside. The combination of the red sauce, corn cakes, and beans was incredible. Also enjoyed fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. We biked over 6 miles to get here and would do it again! Absolutely delicious!
Waitress was knowledgeable about gluten free options and many of the menu items can be made gluten free. Corn bread is gluten free. And the Bayou Teche omelette was so good!
Their delicious corn bread is gluten-free! A good selection of gluten-free options. No gluten-free menu but my waiter was very knowledgeable and accommodating.
This place has become our go-to. The menu is so delicious and interesting--and often already gluten free, even without accommodations (which they are very willing to make). Everyone is very knowledgeable and thoughtful. One of the best cocktail programs in the city to boot!
The pozole was excellent, as was the skillet cornbread, staff was very helpful in explaining the menu.
They do a number of their items naturally gluten free since they use the old recipes for things like corn bread and corn cakes. One of their servers is celiac and the staff is knowledgeable and you can always ask for the chef.
