The margarita pizza was AMAZING!! Crust was slightly spungy but flavor wise it was one of the best GF pizzas I’ve ever had! Also had the fried calamari and it was delicious. I’m super sensitive and did not get sick.

The staff took great care to ensure no cross contamination, the gluten free bread was to die for, and there were even several options for gluten free dairy free (which I am) in addition to all the gf entrees. Definitely will be back.

Oh my goodness. Best gf bread and pizza ever. My husband got fettuccini and it was so good too! The lady next to us ordered gf mushroom ravioli. Unreal how many gf options there were. Super small and cute place, too!

Staff was amazing and had the best gluten free options I’ve ever had! The complimentary gluten free bread was ridiculously good, great pasta options, and every dessert was gluten free as well (I got the flourless chocolate cake which was once again, delicious). Highly recommend for celiacs in the city!!

Good appetizers however the pizza was awful. I had one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. It taste like Eating a pancake with meatballs. There are much better places to get gf pizza in NYC.... especially for celiacs.. the staff was very nice.

Yes however the food quality was just mediocre. The pizza 🍕 was comparable to a frozen store bought. More like crepes than a dinner dish. Ravioli was decent. However the calamari was delicious! I would stick with the appetizers. The staff was very nice! Just had higher expectations of the meal

This place is incredible. When I walked in they told me that everything on the menu can be made gluten free. Seriously, everything. Like each thing. All of it. I was so excited it was almost impossible to choose! The gf bread and olive oil to start is great and the ravioli to die for. Will definitely being coming back when I'm in NYC again.

I feel like I can't even do this place justice with a review. Or maybe I feel like I need to adjust all my other 5-star ratings so that this restaurant really stands out and shines. This was--hands down--the BEST gluten fee meal I've had in the five years since going GF. And it certainly rivals other best meals I had before then. I'll admit...I cried. The owner, Anthony, is so genuine and attentive--and after 14 years of offering gluten free options on his menu (most are either GF already or can be made so), he absolutely knows what he's doing. He's sourced some of the best tasting breads and pastas from around NYC and serves them up with delicious accompaniments. I wish I could ditch my work responsibilities this weekend and spend my remaining hours in the city bellied up to the bar in this gem of a restaurant. Don't pass up the bread with oil and garlic. Or the handmade ravioli. And you can't go wrong with any of the desserts, but the berry gelato and the lemon tarte (with its hand-whipped cream dollop) were the perfect way to end a perfect meal. Thank you, Anthony, for being such an amazing host tonight and serving up plates of gluten-free perfection. I'll be back!

Ohh where do I start? Every time I come to NYC I bring my family to this restaurant. Bistango can make anything on the menu gluten free. I totally recommend their gf bread, I have to tell you it is actually good bread, and let me tell you it's the only bread I say that about! Their food is so good gf or not and I totally recommend this restaurant!

Incredible home made gluten free pastas and Italian food. Yummy gluten free bread served with luscious oil for dipping. We loved the mushroom and spinach raviolis, the pizettes, the eggplant rollatini, the fish and the lava cake a la mode. Everything is cooked to order so substitutions are easy. It's been a few years since we've been to this location but it was as fabulous as we remembered.

We were able to call for a reservation the same day which was nice. We were seated without menus which wasn't that big a deal, but the ONE waitress for the entire restaurant was slammed with large parties and took a LONG time to get to us. We were asked about allergies as the first thing so they are very allergy/gluten aware. We finally ordered drinks, appetizers and our dinner at the same time. They brought out our drinks and fresh bread. They gave my celiac daughter gluten free bread with olive oil and garlic which she enjoyed very much and I thought it was very good too. They never brought out our appetizers, but we waited so long that we didn't care - until the appetizers showed up on our bill. I got the Pollo meal, my older daughter got the GF spinach ravioli, my celiac daughter got Caesar salad with grilled chicken and my husband got a regular rigatoni meal. The food was delicious and ALL the desserts, but the Tiramisu were gluten free - we got the cheesecake, the Apple brûlée and the Trisome. The service was horrid and slow, but the food and gluten free options made up for it. We were here between Christmas and New Years so it's possible the wait staff was just off. We would definitely try this restaurant again when in town.

A great find in NYC. Very accommodating to eating GF (they ask at the beginning "does anyone have any food allergies?") and can make anything on the menu GF. Very wide selection of items, including pasta, flatbread and appetizers. We had GF: flatbreads, the chicken, the bread+hummus appetizer, the pasta, and cheesecake. All Delicious! Came back two more times on a short trip because they were so accommodating and we had no I food issues after each visit.

Picked this place after I read reviews regarding GF choices. Almost the whole menu can be made GF. Had the homemade GF mushroom & ricotta ravioli with pink sauce with GF bread that is brought in from a bakery in Brooklyn. Dee-lush! Owner was very customer oriented and checked on us throughout our dining experience. What was really impressive was the dessert menu...they had 8 GF options and only 2 that were not! Had GF tiramisu which was outstanding! I highly recommend this place!!!!

since my diagnosis of celiac 4 months ago, this was hands down the most relaxed and tasty meal I've had. The other 6 people in my party ordered all gluten free appetizers and still raved about them. The bread, appetizers, meals, and even several desserts weren't just "good for being gf"; they were amazing Italian dishes prepared with care. Thank you Anthony and staff for this experience. It doesn't come often.

Wow. We visited New York for the week and had many options and tried a different as many as we could for GF lunches and dinners. Bistango by far was our best eating experience. The food was fantastic. The food was so good and wish we had visited at least twice. The staff was very knowledgeable and since I was diagnosed as a celiac 5 years ago, this was the best food I've eaten and may go so far as to say ever. If we make our way back to the city this place will be at the top of our list.

I think the other reviews say it all. A true gem. I love this place so so much. Plus one time, I was working late under a deadline and desperate for a late night gluten free dinner. The owner understood my celiac struggle and was kind enough to have the kitchen prepare something as they were closing and even threw in a free dessert!

This place is absolutely phenomenal. The entire menu can be made GF and they even have separate GF bread that can be brought to the table. Pasta was delicious and the flatbread appetizers were amazing. The staff was attentive and knowledgable, and eased any concerns that I had with ease and humor. It was a wonderful dining experience.
