Ate here again between Christmas and New Years for my daughters birthday. They did not disappoint. Food was awesome. Service was really good even though they had a HUGE party of 20 down the middle of the restaurant. Bistango has become one of our go to for gluten free in NYC.

We were able to call for a reservation the same day which was nice. We were seated without menus which wasn't that big a deal, but the ONE waitress for the entire restaurant was slammed with large parties and took a LONG time to get to us. We were asked about allergies as the first thing so they are very allergy/gluten aware. We finally ordered drinks, appetizers and our dinner at the same time. They brought out our drinks and fresh bread. They gave my celiac daughter gluten free bread with olive oil and garlic which she enjoyed very much and I thought it was very good too. They never brought out our appetizers, but we waited so long that we didn't care - until the appetizers showed up on our bill. I got the Pollo meal, my older daughter got the GF spinach ravioli, my celiac daughter got Caesar salad with grilled chicken and my husband got a regular rigatoni meal. The food was delicious and ALL the desserts, but the Tiramisu were gluten free - we got the cheesecake, the Apple brûlée and the Trisome. The service was horrid and slow, but the food and gluten free options made up for it. We were here between Christmas and New Years so it's possible the wait staff was just off. We would definitely try this restaurant again when in town.
