Review of BJ's Brewhouse

Ordered off of the gluten free menu and requested a house salad for my side. The backup server brought out the salad with croutons on it, I told her I had requested my meal to be gluten free per having celiacs and she rolled her eyes and walked off and came back about a minute later having given me the same exact salad with the croutons just pulled off. Notified the server assigned to my table that I could not eat the salad because it was brought with croutons and she apologized and brought me a fresh salad almost immediately. The experience left me feeling uneasy about consuming the food, but I was okay this time and did not get sick.

I went here again recently and the server of our table didn’t seem to really understand the requests. We kept having issues at the table about food being forgotten or incorrect and with this experience, I feel like the server may have been confused or overly busy which resulted in my food being contaminated and me being sick.

All in all, some of the employees are knowledgeable and sympathetic to people whom have celiacs while others treat you as an inconvenience for making them do their job. But this place seems to be a hit or miss. I’ve had great experiences here as well.
