BJ's Brewhouse

The good things: BJ’s is my go-to for a gluten free burger with a real bun. I don’t know what witchcraft they’re using, but the gluten free buns are actually delicious - like better than the gluten buns of days gone by. Their GF pizza is decent, and the GF pizzookie (sp?) is pretty good. Their staff is great about getting a manager or chef to answer questions. It never feels like dietary restrictions are a nuisance.

The bad things: There aren’t a lot of options. They DO NOT have a dedicated fryer, so stay away from fries and chips. They do have a gluten free menu, but they can’t actually make all of the things on there. Ask what isn’t available before browsing it.

My husband has Celiac so we only tried this place because we were given a gift card. The waiter was decently knowledgeable but VERY helpful and accommodating! He brought us both the separate gluten free menu as well as the full main menu with gluten free items marked with a “GS” for gluten sensitive. He did preface us with the fact that the dedicated GF menu was from 2017.

We got the chips and salsa since they were marked GF on their online menu, and my husband got the GF pepperoni pizza ($17). It was extremely greasy and the crust was a rubbery texture, so he didn’t finish it (which is abnormal for him even if he doesn’t like the food!). We got the GF Pizookie for desert and it was tasty but both it and the pizza was obviously frozen and warmed up.

My hubby did end up getting sick as soon as we got home. Needless to say, we will not be returning. :(

Waitress was awesome! Chips are not gluten free and cannot be prepared in a separate fryer.

We ordered pizzas and burgers..

$17 for the pizza and $18 for the burger!

Can’t go back just for those reasons

Not to mention we are 2 weeks on a celiacs diet and my wife has been completely ok until eating at BJ’s last night. Something must have cross contaminated.

Very good and extensive menu! The food is delicious and I've never gotten sick from cross contact!

We love BJ's their gf pizza is my daughter's fave. They are very kind and allow her to have a gf pizza in the "kid's meal" even though it is the full size pizza. They also have a gf cookies in a pan, that my daughter LOVES!!!

limited menu-i would expect them to add at least a GF bun by now. But good good, no cross-contamination. GF pizza is one of the best. Manager very knowledgeable and listens.
