Black Seed Bagels

I used to eat here and be totally fine. The bagels were so good and you can get anything on the menu made on a gf bagel - so dreamy. Then out of no where, I had such a good bagel sandwich on my birthday buttt got violently sick! Wasn’t sure what changed. Then I went back and found out they switched their vendor from modern bread (which I LOVE) to sunshine (gluten free but made from wheat). I’m not sure if it was the sunshine bagel or the cross contamination but I was so sick. Believe it or not I went back again and I tried a plain bagel with nothing on it because I really didn’t wanna blame the bagel (like maybe something else had made me sick, risky I know). Low and behold I had poisoned myself again.

Please no longer practices gluten free safely. They use all the same cutting boards and knives. Refused a glove change and to cut my bagel with a clean knife.

Amazing gluten free bagel here! They serve Original Sunshine bagels here, which are gluten free but actually made with wheat. This made for an amazing texture that reminded me of a real bagel. They have plain and everything flavors. They do use the same toaster for regular bagels, so if you cannot do cross contamination then don’t get it toasted.

I have food allergies, and my friend has celiac. We were both able to eat and not get sick. Staff was knowledgeable. Food was prepared separatey including the toasting. Gluten-free bagel options: plain and everything. Most menu items can be made gluten-free. Very tasty!
