Ordered gluten free pancakes and let them know I had a severe allergy. I checked the receipt and it was in fact marked as a gluten allergy, but after eating the pancakes I got sick with gluten. Ate nothing else except for the syrup that comes with the pancakes.
Tested the pancake and omelet (with toast) with my Nima and both meals cam back with gluten found.
Son has celiac - we have breakfast here all the time. He’s never gotten six from the GF pancakes, eggs or bacon

Ask for their gf menu. I had Black Walnut salad with shrimp. Very good. They made gf toast instead of garlic bread. It was plain, but I added butter.
Very disappointed on my first visit here. Ordered a salad that was on the gf menu but ended up having gluten reaction anyway. Will not be going back.
They have a gluten free menu but during week it consists of salads and eggs. The menu is better on weekend.
I had a burger with no bun. It took a long time to get my food but I figured it was because they were making sure it was safe. The burger was excellent and I will definitely go again. I have celiac and felt they listened and understood what I needed.
Excellent food. I had the gluten free shredded pork tacos, and took two of the three, home.
This is a self-service restaurant, but when I asked questions, and the ice tea was empty, one of the employees let me know that I had bothered him, and he wasn't friendly. I'm just passing through, but won't be back.
I love the sandwiches on GF bread and giant pancakes! They are very nice and knowledgeable about GF sensitivity. The portions are large so be prepared to take ypur leftovers home! One of my lunch faves!
You can ask for a gluten free menu at the counter. Lots of options. Omelettes and great salads. The never ending summer salad is great and they will sub gluten free bread. They will note gluten allergy on your ticket. My favorite place to eat gluten free. Eat here once a week.

The GF items were marked… but… I ordered the pot roast grilled cheese that came with tomato basil soup and a salad. You pay when you order. Later when my sandwich and salad came out, the server said the soup was not actually GF so didn’t bring it. No problem, I appreciated them looking out for me. However, I was busy visiting with a friend and forgot I had already paid! It wasn’t until I was driving home that I remembered and realized I should have asked for an adjustment or a replacement item. The sandwich and salad were good but be more mindful than I was! And yes they had a couple of GF desserts in the case, but I didn’t want one piece for $10. I will return but hopefully will look back at this review before I go!

I love Black Walnuy cafe. The food is always fresh. My favorite meal is the Black Walnut Salad with grilled chicken. I just ask for no garlic bread. The menu is clearly labeled with gf items. On the weekends they serve gf pancakes. This location also has a nice outdoor covered patio.
This place is very careful and the food is awesome! Make sure you say that it is an allergy not a preference and they will mark your order that way so that it is prepared carefully! All the food is so good!
Have gone here two mornings in a row. Most staff are knowledgeable about GF options. Griddle items are not gluten free, and neither are the house potatoes. First morning we went, they put house potatoes on my plate even after mentioning the gluten free requirement. The next day they informed me that the potatoes were not free of contamination and offered me a different side (this explained why my guts were leading a rebellion) so just be aware.
