Initially I thought this place was okay to eat from as one employee said they would take precautions, however after eating I felt like garbage and was in pain through the following morning. I thought it may had been something I had for breakfast because I went out with friends earlier that day so I returned to blaze and notified them I’d need them to avoid cross contamination and the other employee asked if it was an all very or celiac and proceeded to tell me not to spend my money at any blaze restaurant as all ingredients are cross contaminated due to the fact that the spoon they use to dip into sauce and topping has touched pizza with gluten crust. Be careful because initially it seems like they do enough as they use a barrier when it goes into the oven and they use a different cutter but cross contamination is there regardless :(

I have to be very careful of cross contamination when I eat here. They use the same spoons, pizza cutters, gloves, etc. for all of their pizzas, gluten free or not. While their gf crust selection is nice, the cross contamination is hard to avoid.

I would not recommend this restaurant for celiac. Lots of cross contamination opportunities. They did change their gloves but used the same tools and area to cut pizza. Plus the GF crust is very chewy.

Fair amount of options, they have 3 “gluten free” bases, but one is not gf? They have a gluten free dough, which I assume is are in house on shared equipment and pressed with their same dough press, so it is NOT SAFE (it is not labeled with the ‘gf’ on the menu, I did not actually ask them about this). They also have a cauliflower crust (which I got) and a “keto crust” which was marked gf. I’m not sure what that is made from. They cook the gf crusts on a specific pan-thing so it doesn’t touch the oven. They will change gloves if it’s an allergy. The ingredients are still just in a big line like at a chipotle etc., so there is a pretty decent risk of cc I assume. I noticed when they put on the sauce, they spread it with the spoon, as it typical of pizza, which made me nervous. It is possible that they would get fresh ingredients on request, but I did not ask. The got a clean pizza cutter when I asked. It is several hours later and I have yet to get any issues (beyond those from eating a whole pizza). They do not have the ingredients listed for whether they are gf or not, so I avoided any sausage etc. Pizza was pretty good, so if you aren’t super sensitive, or feel confident in your ability to guide pizza makers through the process of being safe, have at it. I will probably go again, but more as an option when people insist on getting pizza than a go-to place.

With the mixed reviews, I asked a ton of questions before ordering and watched very carefully. They asked me if it was preference or allergy. All toppings were from a new container and the employee changed gloves after touching each container. The gluten-free pizzas go on their own mat and in a specific part of the oven. They have a specific gluten free pizza cutter and utensils as well. I was very happy with the gluten-free crust as well! As a new celiac, I could barely tell the difference.
