Not safe for celiacs. I was excited to visit because of the high ratings from others. I ordered the GF pancakes, and they tasted delicious. Unfortunately, I did have a reaction. I talked to the server, and - after talking to the kitchen - said that the GF items are grilled on the same grill/area as the other non-GF items. If you’re sensitive to cross-contamination, then I wouldn’t recommend.
A group of 5 (2 with celiac disease) ate here with no issues. Food was delicious and the waiter was knowledgeable about cross contamination. My daughter is very sensitive to even the smallest particle of gluten and was not ill. We had eggs, hash, banana oat pancakes, short stack of gf pancakes, toast, and baked avocado with eggs. I would definitely eat here again & highly recommend.
I really liked this place. I got the Spanish and mushroom frittata. The only thing I would be careful of is the gf toast. I had to ask how my toast was prepared and was informed that they do not use a separate toaster. So if you have celiacs be carful of cross contact there. I didn’t eat the toast but the meal was very good and I did not feel sick after. I would just recommend asking preparation questions prior to ordering the waiter told me kitchen staff is very careful.
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! I have celiac and I also have an egg, dairy, red meat, and lemon allergy. This place has so many options and has the best breakfast I have ever had. I don’t ever get to eat breakfast out but I got to have vegan eggs, vegan sausage, vegan/gf toast, the best roasted tomatoes ever and fruit. Also the coffe is amazing. This place is a must.
Had more options than I thought. I had the Blue Dog Breakfast, Praline Pecan Bacon, and the Smoked Peach & Burrata Flatbread. Everything was fantastic. I really enjoyed the Praline Bacon. The oat pancakes we ok. Had a little fluff to them but not much flavor but with the Praline Pecan on top was perfect. Friendly staff and the atmosphere was nice. Will definitely be going back the next time I'm in town.
While the menu had great variety, our service was pretty bad. Our food definitely sat in the window for quite a while- it was dry/over cooked/crusty. We know our server forgot about us and tried to pretend like our food just finished. Toast was cold. Eggs were over hard… cheese was petrified. If our waitress would’ve come back to check on us, at all, we probably would’ve mentioned how dry and overcooked everything was. Truly- it seemed like the rest of the servers were great and the food coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. We would likely give it another shot. Coffee was delicious!
I safely ate the good dog breakfast and substituted the vegan eggs/sausage for regular eggs and bacon. When I asked about shared toasters and cook spaces for the gluten free toast and pancakes I was told that the gluten free items are cooked in the same spaces as the regular items and they use the same toaster for all breads. I decided on foods that would be naturally gluten free and had them mark the order with an allergy. My foods came out safe and I was not sick (I would have been sick if they were cross contaminated). I did not feel safe ordering toast or gluten free pancakes since they were cooked with regular pancakes/toast.
Great little place with a fantastic atmosphere! The staff is very knowledgeable on Celiac and Gluten Free items. They have GF items on their menu marked. Apparently the owners wife is celiac. I had no worries eating there. We had breakfast there twice while in Ocean Springs and had no reactions or trouble.
The owner was very knowledgeable on ways to make the most tastiest breakfast items all gluten-free. I believe his wife has celiac disease as well; therefore, he was very sure nothing would get our family hurt with gluten/ cross-contamination. The banana oat pancakes are the bomb and the egg frittatas are immaculate. Will definitely be coming to this place each time we pass through Biloxi. EXTREMELY EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! I really loved that this place opens early as well.
