Updating my review after a few months experience getting takeout from the Kirkland location: I'm not sure exactly what the cause may be, but I've gotten sick from food that should be fully GF more than once over the last few months.
The food is still good, and I show no symptoms about 75% of the time, but it feels like safety procedures are not currently enough for me to continue eating here.
Hope to see improvements in safety procedures regarding cross contamination, and potentially a GF bun option for sandwiches. Will potentially check back in a few months...

Hello There, Thank you for letting us know about these experiences. I will be sure to let our kitchen managers know. My only thought about what by happening is dirty gloves, When you order you can add a note during check out for CELIAC and they can make sure the gloves are changed. Because our kitchens are not free of gluten we can not make that 100% promise but we do what we can to be safe for the GF community. As far as gluten buns we will not be bringing one one as we would be unable to offer a celiac safe experience. We use flour tortillas for our tacos as corn tortillas would not hold up. So in order to prevent any miscommunication we keep our fryers gluten free and the flattops for gluten items.
Thank you again for letting us know . Have a wonderful day
-Jaclyn

We are often asked why we don’t have a gluten free bread option. The reason behind this is because we are unable to offer a separate gf dedicated flattop due to limited kitchen and counter space.
Great gluten free options and knowledgeable staff!! So rare to find a chicken place that offers chicken like this ❤

I think they must have accidentally sent the regular chicken strips instead of GF. Been sick all night and in a lot of pain.

Sesttle and Kirkland WA. are known for its high prices and lack of Celiac safe restaurants, but after checking out their safety protocols, i decided to try out Bok A Bok even though is not all gf.
Two of us ordered 1 Dirty Rice and 1 Dirty tater-tots with 2 orders of chicken straps. The chicken strips come with 2 sides. The chicken strips were OK, although a bit dry. Next time I'll try the thighs.
The tots were OK too, not my fave, but my friend liked them much better than the rice. They were covered in melted, seasoned, American cheese that i didn't like. Personal preference. It didn't stop me from eating the leftovers.
But it's the Dirty Rice that will get me to go back any chance I get. It was deliciously spicy, but not too hot and balanced well with the lightly seasoned air fryer chicken. The rice sauce was SO good. And instead of sidecsauces offered, i will ask for extra dirty rice sauce instead. FYI, the spice did force the need for extra napkins. Drip drip.
The only thing I didn't like on both the rice and tots were the raw egg dropped on top. I will ask them not to put it on next time or see if it can be cooked a bit.
We bought way too much food and had to take it home (oh darn, leftovers), and we are big eaters! I could eat only one chicken strip each and there were tots and rice, and egg, for breakfast.
If you dont want leftovers, one order of chicken strips (3 pieces) and one side is enough to feed two adults with big appetites. I don't recall the price of each thing, but I bet you could feed two people for $25.00 with tip. My friend bought a soda and I had my own water.
There was an ice cream place in the same outdoor plaza that has gf ice cream choices and they will go in back freezer, get you a freshly opened icecream and scoop it with a clean spoon so it's safe for those with Celiac. They are pricey though. We checked it out, but didn't go.
It's the next day that I am writing this because I wanted to make sure I had no symptoms, and I don't, so I ate some more for breakfast. What a great way to start the day!
They only provide a flimsy fork. I recommend you bring your own. The strips were large and my hands were not clean. It was awkward. Oh, and this is an eatout establishment. It was a lovely day out so we sat at the many, two seated tables and watched the children play in a beautiful wading pool area.
As a wheelchair user, this was very friendly, except I did want to put my feet in the water. It was not accessible.
BokABok is said to be Chick-fil-A's competitor. Having never been, I would not know. But if you have family in the Seattle/Bellevue WA. area and they like CFA but you can't go, I highly recommend you all try Bok a Bok and I hope you like it as well as we did.
This is also a LGBTQA safe place.
Enjoy!

The chicken strips were good, not great, and we really didn’t like any of the sauces. The thighs were good and crispy but the wings were over cooked. We ordered fries crispy and they were not crispy and kind of bland as well. Good news I did not get sick and feel normal. Bad news: I agree with the customer service reviews. This was our first visit and they were not kind when explaining the process for pick up.

I have eaten here 25+ times. Always feels safe. Dedicated friers. Clearly labeled menu, they mark each item celiac if you tell them when ordering. I have never had them not understand celiac terminology when ordering. IMHO, this is the best celiac fast food option I have found in Washington state.

I tried the wings and boneless wings, the tots and dirty fries. I found the meat tender and delicious, but it was all weirdly seasoned. Under salted, for sure.

I amazing to be able to order almost anything on the menu! The chicken is so nice and crispy as are the tots made in a dedicated fryer, the only thing is I wish the chicken had a little more kick to it. Added the spicy honey dip and it was perfect though!

They offer takeout only. The service was very good. All of the chicken is GF. It’s just the sauces and sides you have to watch out for. The menu is clearly marked with GF options They’re very happy to accommodate celiac folk.
