Bon Asian Bistro & hibachi grill

I went here for a birthday a few weeks ago. I’ve been to hibachi before and knew they would probably have to cook my food in the back which I’m okay with. At first, the waiter sounded very confident, and expressed that almost everything on the hibachi menu can be made gluten free. So I was excited and ordered the scallop hibachi dinner which came with soup and salad. They brought out the soup with fried onions in it! Even though I specified multiple times of my gluten allergy. I didn’t eat it. They cooked my food in the back as I thought, but then the gentleman who cooked our food kept trying to get me to catch food from the cooktop in my mouth. Even though I told him several times that I can’t because I have an allergy, he kept saying “no it’s okay”. To top it off, I couldn’t even eat the scallops because they weren’t cleaned properly and still had the rubbery connective tissue on it! Never again will I step foot in this place. They clearly do not take allergies seriously and didn’t even try to understand.

Did a hibachi grill for my birthday. Specified it needs to be gluten free. It was just my party at the table. They put regular soy sauce in it. After I repeatedly asked for it to be gluten free. Looks the same so I could t tell. It’s been a week and I’m still very sick.

Ordered gluten free pad Thai lunch came packaged with dumplings and crab Rangoon. Receipt was even labeled gluten free. Do not eat here you can’t educate stupid!

Great food with reasonable prices. We had an amazing waiter who knew all about GF.

They did an excellent job making sure all of our choices were gluten free and the bill was very reasonable.

Last night was my first time dining at Bon Asian Bistro since my Celiac diagnosis. They were so good to me! Any hibachi meal can be modified to be gluten free. My meal was not cooked on the hibachi, they prepared it separately in the kitchen. All precautions were taken to prevent cross contamination. Both our waiter and chef were very knowledgeable about which ingredients contained gluten. My dinner was so delicious and I did not get sick. I am happy!

They have some excellent GF options to choose from. Food was excellent. I would highly recommend the GF teriyaki
