This was such a breath of fresh air. They are very celiac friendly and have a dedicated fryer for chips. I have not eaten chips in a Mexican restaurant in forever. More than half the menu is gluten free. I am also dairy free. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. I had the fish tacos and enjoyed every bite. If I had known I would have eaten there every day.
Decided to try this place after reading the reviews. As of the daye ofbour visiti, chips continue to be made in a dedicated fryer. My celiac daughter loved the fresh chips and fresh guacamole. Carne asada tacos were delicious and my daughter had no reaction.
Got completely sick. Had sent the food back the first time as I questioned if it was the gluten free meal. ( 2 others ordered the same meal- my meal was not labeled or brought out separately) After 30 min, the manager advised its all gluten free. She was not educated on cross contamination- and was extremely rude. Brought the next meal out then proceeded to tell me the chief rerepaired the meal again- but they were all fine because they are naturally gluten free. Re questioned separate Cook space...
very accommodating and knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. they remade my order(because they realized cross contamination had occurred) and gave it to me for free for waiting. free ships and guac as well! super nice about everything. I will always go back here now!
The food was amazing. There are more options than I think I've ever had at another restaurant. We loved going for dinner so much that we ended up going the next day for brunch as well. The brunch is an all you can eat food extravaganza brought right to your table so there is no chance for cross contamination. I had 10 plates of different kinds of gluten-free foods. I highly recommend it for any meal you need!!!
great gluten and soyfree options. after numerous visits the past couple of years I have found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful with ordering allergy friendly options, of which there are a plenty. super thankful to have a spot I can enjoy without worry or without being treated like an annoyance.
This place is awesome!! Items are clearly marked gf and service is great! Made my server aware and she was very helpful. They had gluten free chips and gf tacos that are cooked in a dedicated fryer. I am going here every day while I'm visiting because it's so delicious and I know I can trust them. Every time I travel I just wait to have a reaction after I eat and it didn't happen! Was excited for this restaurant and it really was delicious food. Menu has gf next to items but my server was not knowledgeable or concerned about me having celiac. I asked about the chips they bring with the gf guacamole as they appeared fried. He said they were preprepared at an outside facility so he didn't know how they were cooked but said "we've never had trouble with them." When I attempted to ask further about the menu he said if it says gf it's gluten free. I had shrimp and scallops which were delicious but made me sick so I guess as I've learned the hard way before a gf menu does not guarantee anything.
Had a wonderful experience! Staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. Had a huge selection of GF options and three of the dishes I tasted were fantastic. Would highly recommend and return to this restaurant whenever I'm in town.
Had a really great lunch here. Lots of gluten free items on the menu that were actually labelled GF. Love that. I ordered the carnitas tacos and they were delicious! A little heavy, but had great flavor. It came with rice and beans too. I also ordered the blood orange refresher lemonade and that was delicious too. The free chips and salsa were great, and it was fun to try the 3 different flavors of salsa. I'd definitely go back here! Our waitress was super friendly and so knowledgable about the menu. I felt confident that she'd make sure my meal was gluten free. The whole experience was wonderful, and I'm sure the other GF items on their menu will be tasty too!
Our last night in Las Vegas, we decided to take a stroll over to Mandalay Bay and have dinner at Border Grill. This place was highly recommended on the gluten free sites and showed on their website to have a dedicated gluten free menu, so needless to say I was pumped to check it out. The hostess was not very friendly. I gotta say that I am a stickler for happy, positive employees because they are the face of your business and crucial to customer satisfaction. I was pleased to see such a large gluten free menu until I opened it and realized 2 of the pages were filled with alcohol choices. We decided to try the Queso Fundido, which they brought out with corn tortillas and the chips are gluten free there. The dip was pretty tasty for sure but it didn't knock my socks off. Our waiter was aware of celiac disease and gluten free preparations so that made me feel at ease too during our time there. I ordered a shrimp and rice which came out on a plate filled with rice and then a strip of shrimp down the middle. The rice was in a pool of liquids making it a bit soggy. I have to say that I can't stand wet rice so I just ate the rice off the top and picked at the shrimp. The dish was disappointing and I didn't leave there feeling like I had an amazing gluten free dish coming from somewhere that specifically has a gluten free menu. The cost of my 10 small shrimp and rice was also $28 which I found to be completely out of line for the quality of the dish. Now, had that dish come out and completely wowed me, I wouldn't blink at spending $28 on vacation in Las Vegas for dinner. It just didn't do it for me so I can tell you I won't likely go back on my trip to Las Vegas next year. I would recommend Border Grill because they are educated and understand gluten free meals but I'm not sure it would be my first pick for someone. It's the safe choice.
They have a salad that can be gluten free. Server was helpful
Although not listed in the menu, they have GF tacos with corn tortillas. Helpful server.
Outstanding service. Knowledgeable and considerate staff. Understood celiac issues and created an awesome experience. And I cannot recommend the chicken poblano enchiladas and a side order of plantains enough.
This place is sooo wonderful. I always come here when I visit Vegas and I never have a reaction. Everything is clearly marked GF. Just have to ask for the gluten free chips. If you like spicy, the diablo salsa is the best on the planet!!
Fantastic experience. I bought a 50% off coupon at a half price ticket booth. It was only good at the Caesar's location. My server was extremely helpful and brought out special gf chips. She recommended the chicken poblano enchiladas and they were delicious. Highly recommend this place. It's at the entrance to the Forum shops entrance near the Mirage.
Great food. I love this place and it's never made me sick. The chicken enchiladas are delicious! I highly recommend them. My only warning is that one night I ordered a drink and the bartender didn't know anything about which brands and which types of alcohol are derived from wheat, barley, etc. I made him show me the bottles after he said "all alcohol is gluten free." Also if you ask them, they will make your chips in a new batch of oil so that it's not contaminated. You can even call ahead of time to ask so it's ready when you arrive!
Great knowledgeable servers who educated me about what I could eat on the menu. She explained in detail which items were for those with Celiac disease (myself), gluten sensitive and those just avoiding gluten. Those with Celiac can't have the tortilla chips since they share the same fryer of glutinous foods but they brought me warmed corn tortillas with the salsa that is safe. I had the carne asada, tinga pollo and any quesadilla can be prepared for those with Celiac. I haven't felt sick since my visit which is great! There's a large selection of food to choose from that was delicious and the staff was very knowledgable! Highly recommend if you are in the area! The happy hour was also great having the tacos for $3.50/each and $5 margaritas.
Excellent. Many gluten free items. I think but am not certain that the chips are also gluten free, but I have never gotten sick there. Make sure you tell the waitress that you are allergic, and I always (in all restaurants) tell them to write it on the ticket to make sure the chef knows. Also, do that because some dishes can be made gluten free which requires different tortillas, etc. so you need to tell them. Bartender Victor is great, if by yourself or with a friend, consider eating at the bar. There Tequila selection is numerous as well. Enjoy.
