Lovely food, beautiful terrace/patio! The chicken blanquette was delicious and creamy, and the cheese bread buns were the perfect appetizer. Wonderful to just know everything is GF.

Boris Bistro is the kind of restaurant that should be in every city. Every city should have a restaurant that creates fine dining dishes that just happen to be gluten-free. We ate here with my kids and parents and everyone enjoyed their meal. It is such a pleasure to eat somewhere where we don't have to worry at all about cross-contamination because the kitchen is 100% GF and we also don't have to compromise on the quality of the food. Boris Bistro creates beautiful dishes from ceviche to risotto to fancy poutine to beef tataki and more. They also have a lovely outdoor garden to dine in which makes for a great place for a late summer meal.

This is the second incredible meal I’ve had at Boris Bistro. Everything is delicious, the service impeccable and the staff friendly and helpful. I had the risotto for my main and the prawns tasted like lobster! My husband and I shared the mushrooms and escargot along with the pate and each dish was a winner. The cranberry bread that is served with the pate is top notch!

Although the food was not 10/10 (I’d say 6-7/10), it was great to not have to worry about what I could and couldn’t eat 😊 That being said, they DO SERVE GLUTEN CONTAINING BREAD! So this is not a dedicated GF restaurant, technically. So please be aware of that. Ambiance and service was great. Risotto & salmons tartare were our best dishes.

What a gem! They have an amazing outdoor terrace that’s off the street and very private. The menu is not huge, (nor are the portions) but the food is incredible. I had the poutine (with chicken and asparagus) and rabbit penne. Amazing flavours for both. Can’t wait to come back! A definite must if you’re in Montreal ✔

I had been waiting to try this restaurant for so long. It was simply terrible. I have never left a review in my life but this was unacceptable. This is not 100% gluten free. The bread has gluten in it - the waiter did not even tell me. I had to ask. That made me feel unsafe to eat here as a Celiac. Why do you have a “certified gluten free restaurant” serving bread with gluten??? It’s like a completely nut free restaurant serving nuts... The food is not good. I had the swordfish - hard as a rock. My friend had pasta - it was 13 noodles and sauce from a jar. ALSO, the food was cold! The service was unbelievably slow: 45 min to get drinks, 1.5 hours get meals. What a disappointment. Will not return.

This restaurant has a delicious, varied menu that is entirely gluten-free (they also accommodate lactose intolerance). It was really a treat to be able to choose anything I wanted! They do have regular bread (and non-gluten-free beer), so be aware of that, but our waiter was very clear when he brought the bread, and was careful to differentiate the regular bread from the gluten-free bread so there was no confusion. Overall a fantastic restaurant.

My husband and I got the potato appetizer to start (very good), grilled swordfish & filet minion, and for dessert: the maple crepe brûlée & the chocolate marquise. nice atmosphere. Only thing that’s not GF is the bread at the table & some alcohol options (beer, etc) although they did offer gf beer too!

I felt very safe eating here, but a bit underwhelmed by the actual food. I got the duck risotto on a recommendation, and it wasn’t great tasting, and the same with the cheese ice cream.

It was a unique experience, but if not for the fact that I felt very safe and secure as a Celiac here, it probably would have been a 2-3/5 star experience. It might have just been an off night however, without the typical chef. I think I could have gotten better food elsewhere for less money.

Every single item on the menu is gluten free! A celiac's dream! I went there for dinner & enjoyed my 3 course meal: escargot & wild mushrooms in a cream sauce with hazelnuts served w/ toast, a quinoa & rice salad w/ duck & pear chutney, for desert cheese ice cream w/ guava coulis. Atmosphere was quiet & warm; unlike any bistro I've been to. My waiter was most kind & helpful. I would definitely recommend & return.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my husband. He is gluten sensitive, dairy sensitive, and has to stick to chicken or turkey most of the time. The whole restaurant is gluten free, so that was not a worry. They are well versed in dairy sensitivity. But those factors combined with the chicken requirements, meant there was nothing in the menu he could eat. So they customized something for him that was delicious.

I don’t have any sensitivities and thought my duck risotto was insanely delicious.

Delicious and extensive menu which is entirely gluten free. This restaurant also has a beautiful outdoor terrace with lots of trees. I've been there several times and have enjoyed everything I've had there: Pasta (casarecce) with lamb, salmon tartar with fries and salad, Mediterranean chicken plate, grilled vegetables,... They also have an extensive cocktail and wine list. I love their caipirinhas!!
