I have celiac, which I stressed to my server. She told me I could get gluten free pasta. I asked if there would be any cross contamination with the pasta and if it would be boiled in separate water. She assured me it would be safe , boiled separate, and would even confirm with the kitchen. When the mac n cheese first came out, there was breadcrumbs all over it. Luckily I noticed before I started to eat. The server quickly took it away and said they would make me a new one. Within 5 minutes, a new Mac n cheese came out. I was a little worried about it being boiled in the same water as regular pasta or that they just scraped the breadcrumbs off the top because of how fast it came out but was assured it was fine. Right after finishing the meal, I started to feel not 100%. Now, just 2 hours later, I am extremely sick.
I tried for about a full ten minutes to find out if the steak tips were gluten free. The waitress kept coming back and telling me "yes, they have soy in them." Okay, that's fine, do you mean soy SAUCE that has wheat in it? It was a lot of back and forth to the kitchen and it showed that they have not been educated on allergens. However it wasn't that hard to find a suitable dish, and it was yummy. Atmosphere good. So three stars.
