One star might be a little unfair, considering I also have a dairy allergy, but they only had a few gluten free options and all of them contained dairy that could not be removed. The waiter did say that I could maybe have some fried eggs, but I felt so uncomfortable that I just got a bowl of fruit. It was so busy and he did nothing to make me feel comfortable about cross contamination. I’d rather be hungry and sad than compromise my health.

Came in because of previous reviews. Could only do omelets gluten free but they said straight up its not safe to eat with celiac disease because they have flour everywhere.

2019 - we continue to come back here. We’ve had knowledgeable staff willing to go the extra mile. I had eggs Benedict but on cheese grits and it was so good.
2017 Menu marked with gf items. All were egg/omelet items. No breakfast potatos, fries are not in a dedicated fryer.
Grits/cheese grits are gf. Food was good!
GF grits and omelets! Very nice staff willing to double check GF items.
I ate here about a year ago while on vacation, had a really good experience and had a great meal. This year I went back to relive that, and unfortunately the food was not as good. They have clearly marked items on the menu as gluten free, primarily omelets if you are there for breakfast. The last time I ate there I had some grits and were told they were gluten free with no reactions. This year, I was told the grits are not gluten free. Not sure if it was my server that was confused, or if they have changed the grits they use. Also, coffee was good last year, this year was a bit weak. Hopefully it was just a fluke this year, because I really liked coming back here as a vacation breakfast stop.

Really good! There menu is detailed in what items are naturally gluten free and their staff is open to working out other items. I had the Caribbean scrambler with cheese grits. So good!

This is a delicious spot to eat with excellent customer service. They were quick to offer gluten and dairy free suggestions for my daughter, and the manager checked twice to make sure everything was right. I would give them 6 stars if I could!
Very tasty and friendly. Decent options- the usual egg dishes or salads.
Excellent Gluten free options and they can even make it dairy free!
Editing to add: went back again today, was told the breakfast potatoes were cooked in the same oil as regular fried items. I take that back about the potatoes! This was mostly on me as I didn't know what questions to ask and was recently diagnosed. The omelets are still very good and the grits are good as well!
Was a little bummed they only had four gluten free options marked and they were all omelets. Not necessarily a bad thing but more variety would be nice. The one I got was really good though! I got the breakfast potatoes too which were so crispy I had to ask to check and make sure they weren't dredged in wheat but the waitress assured me they weren't so I kept eating. Food was great and felt great after! Again just wish they had some more options.

They have a few (read five) for gluten free options. I had to ask about sides and the server was super sweet and talked with the kitchen about it. It was all very filling and very good!

Edited- Last time we went, we did not have a good experience. They have changed the recipe of the salad. The waitress could not tell me if the salad dressing was gluten free. She asked the kitchen and they could not determine if it was or not. They brought me plain balsamic vinegar which did not make for a great salad. I can no longer eat eggs; so I’m out of luck here. The bloody Mary’s are still good and there are many egg options.
Gluten free options are noted on the menu. I love the shrimp and avocado salad. There are also a lot of omelette choices. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is the design it yourself Bloody Mary - there are 50 items to choose! The mimosas and other drinks are also good. Brick and Spoon is a fun place for brunch or lunch.

No gluten free options labeled- had to go off own knowledge. No gluten free bread/buns. Had an omelet but sick within 30 minutes. Not confident about cross contamination and waitress was not knowledgeable regarding wheat ingredients or celiac.

Passing through Mobile, we hit up Brick & Spoon after seeing on this app. Their menu doesn’t have many gf options, but what they offer is much better than most places. I had the shrimp and avocado salad (to die for!) The service was great. Our waitress was honest about what she didn’t know regarding salad dressing, and offered to find out. I had my own, so I said not to worry about it. After our meal, Sean, the general manager, came to check on us. As it turns out, he also has Celiac Disease. Given the service, atmosphere, personal attention, serious consideration of my needs, and the quality of the food, I give 5 stars. I’d give more if I could.
