I had a great experience. I ordered the lamb burger with a gf bun, side salad with balsamic vinaigrette on the side. The sandwich was so good and the salad was fresh! I did eat some of my son’s fries. They were good but not celiac safe. I think my meal would have been Celiac safe. I have gluten and oat intolerance.
After 4 years of eating their duck burger without onion crisps or the cheese skirt, quizzing wait staff and asking for all precautions possible and tipping a minimum of 30% I just found out their fig jam has flour in it.
You absolutely cannot trust them to make food gluten free for you, which us heartbreaking because their burgers are delicious.
To be honest, I was hesitant. The menu has a gluten free symbol but NOTHING on it is marked GF w the symbol. When I asked the server, she told me they had gg buns and she could list which burgers could be gf. I made some swaps & had the blue cheese burger with turkey patty, no fried onions and the Gf bun. Delicious. I am celiac.
Food was great for people who don't have celiac disease. I explained that I had celiac disease, and I asked for he normal accommodations. When my burger came out it was the same bun as everyone else's. I asked if they had maybe made a mistake and they vehemently insisted that my bun was gluten free, so I took a chance on it. Turns out it was a regular bun, and that evening and the day following were miserable as a result
Horrible service. I have been there twice and both times told the wait staff up front about my Celiac disease and both times had to change my order AFTER everyone's food had been served because there was gluten in the food. Tonight I ordered a salad and it came with glutenous onion rings. I informed the staff and they returned it to the kitchen to come out with the same exact salad that had just had the rings scooped off of them. Long story short, the staff is not knowledgeable about Celiac and the service is terrible. Will never go there again.
They offer GF buns and a salad option with burgers (instead of fries). Very impressed by the knowledge of our server here about celiac. The burger was tasty, although the bread was a little hard. It was so filling I didn't really need the salad. The cider was good too. Might be my new go-to for GF burgers in Sacramento. Although they only offer bread and butter pickles, not dill...
One of the first times I dared to try a gluten free sandwich at a restaurant. The menu said that they can make any burger or sandwich gluten free. The gf bread for my sandwich was more of a long burger bun which is not the size of the regular bread for that sandwich so it made my sandwich very messy and inedible with hands, which they warned me about and made it fine. I was also able to have gf banh mi fries! It was only the fish sauce they couldn't put on it. But close enough! And I didn't feel sick after dinner.
