After thoroughly explain to the server, who said she explained to the cooks, that my daughter has celiacs and what that meant for them, my daughter was accidentally served fried chicken instead of the gf grilled we ordered.
Not really a gluten free menu other than salads
Gf options and a nice, knowledgeable chef! Fun to be able to eat wings with my family.
Clearly labeled menu and knowledgeable staff. They do have GF buns for sandwiches and burgers and the BEST grilled wings (most sauces are GF too). The fries are not in dedicated fryer but I have never had any reaction to them.
Great wings and friendly service. Menu has low gluten and gluten free options. I am very sensitive (allergy) and did get a slight reaction but it may have happened earlier in the day. It is a good option if not very sensitive.
I was looking for a gluten free restaurant and I stumbled across this. I was diagnosed with celiac a while ago and I know what I can have. Many of the things that are marked on the menu low gluten are made in the same fryer as gluten things. Very tasty. I loved the wings here. Gluten friendly, but know your limitations for cross contact.
Being newly diagnosed with Celiac I’m having to learn to eat all over again. Because of this app I decided to go ahead and eat here with my husband last night. I got the Harvest Salad which was amazing and listed as gf. However within a half an hour of being home guess where I needed up! All the symptoms kicked in full force. I’m not sure what part of my meal was cross contaminated but it was very discouraging. It is going to be challenging for sure.
I have Celiac and was so surprised to see most possible GF items mark as Low Gluten! I asked and found out there’s no separate fryer and that’s what makes these many items Low Gluten. I just didn’t eat. Not anything really that’s Celiac friendly.
Grilled boneless wings are gluten free and they will grill them on foil if you ask to help prevent any cross contamination on the grill. Sauces are indicated as GF on the menu. Traditional bone-in wings are also listed as GF. Really tasty! I think these are the best wings around, they give you good sized pieces of chicken and have a great variety of sauces.
This was horrible. I'm positive my celiac son and I were glutened. We order the lemon pepper sauce, which is gluten free on the menu. After the meal, they told us they subbed the lemon pepper seasoning instead of sauce, which says it contains wheat on the allergen list. This all in spite of us telling them we have a gluten allergy. Will never return.
It shows on menu what is gluten free. Mostly wings and salad. Fun place and really good food. They tell you which things are gluten free but fried in same fryer for people that can’t have that. I have celiac and I ate the fries and didn’t have an issue. Their garlic Parmesan fries were delish! Also the blue cheese dressing ! Yum!
Their menu is very clearly marked with both low gluten and gluten free items. Their boneless grilled chicken ‘wings’ and all sauces (except two) are gluten free, as well as some delicious salads and their chili. Good option when you’re craving some ‘wings’!
I believe that Buffalo Wings and Rings is making a serious effort to cater to customers who are gluten sensitive or Celiac. The menu labels gluten free (GF) and low gluten (LG). I asked a question about having my wings grilled instead of fried because I was worried about cross-contamination and our server told me that they have a separate fryer! They fry the boneless wings in one fryer and the traditional wings in a separate fryer. I wish I had ordered more than five wings; they were so good.
Online menu & reviews specified separate fryer, this is NOT the case at the Naperville location on 75th street & Rickert. Found corn tortilla chips and fries are cross-contaminated from sharing fryer, so off-limits for celiacs. Chili is safe (tortilla strips on top are prepackaged & gf), but chili con queso is served with tortilla chips that aren't gf. Bummed!
With a dedicated fryer this is one of the few places I can have fries. My family loves the wings. It's a great place for families too. The staff seem knowledgeable. I have eaten here a few times and I've never gotten sick.
Has gf food on menu but you need to ask. Chicken wings were marked gf but when we asked if they had a dedicated fryer we were told during rush hours they would use the dedicated fryer to cook items that did have gluten and if you can't have gluten to come in on the day they changed the oil . I did tell the person they should not contaminate the dedicated fryer because not everyone will ask
I have celiac disease, I read the previous comments and got a little nervous. So, I waited a day to respond to see if I got sick... I didn't! The wings were awesome and our server Aaron was really helpful. I would definitely recommend going. Just a heads up most blue cheese and ranch dressing are gluten free...

They have A LOT of menu items marked Gluten Free, but they are NOT Celiac friendly. Salads with Bleu cheese, fries and traditional wings fried in the same fryer as breaded items. Realizing they had no clue about Celiacs, I nervously opted for the chili marked GF minus the tortilla strips it came with, that they fry with breaded items. waiting for my order now. I have a feeling I'm going to regret this.
The first time I went they told me they have a dedicated fryer for the gluten free. The second time they said they did not, even though it's written on their gluten free menu that they do have a separate fryer. The manager was super cool though and saved me from certain glutening. Now that I know though, I will go back.
The menu specified gluten free options and there were lots. Fries were gluten free. I am not celiac but I do react to gluten and I was A-Ok after my lunch! Big selection of sauces and practically every single one was GF. 10/10 would come back. Not 100% sure if celiac though, but delicious.
The first visit there the management said that they had dedicated fryers for their wings and fries. The second time we visited they said they didn't have dedicated fryers for the wings and fries. I assume the second time we went the manager knew what celiac was. I don't think I will return.
