Safe and delicious place to eat! I highly recommend the lamb burgers. They have a few options with different toppings, and New Zealand is famous for its lamb. Truly one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. The fries were amazing also.
Perfect for Celiac. Burger was very good. We went there twice over the weekend because we wanted food close to the Duke Campus that was safe. Admittedly the first burger we ordered was take-out the the meat was more red than expected, but we did go back two days later and at at the restaurant. Very good. They also had wings that are baked so gf as well.
We've eaten here 3 times. Hamburgers are great, so are the truffle fries, brussel sprouts and the blackened tuna bites. The staff are accommodating to food allergies.
I got the french chick with a side of roasted sweet potatoes, and our table got the shareable fries and TONS of sauces. (dedicated fryer)
the burger was OK, much better with more sauce on it! the bun was actually super solid and one of the better ones I’ve had.
the fries were a little soggy, but yummy to have fries for once and the sauces were fun to try!!
sweet potatoes were meh :/
they were so considerate and understanding of celiac disease. The gluten-free bun is pretty good, the fries are pretty good and fried in a dedicated fryer. The server was a very knowledgeable about celiac and super helpful. I felt safe eating there :)
GF buns and will (usually) do a good job to keep things very safe if you say you have an allergy. We’ve gone a lot and have only had mistakes twice- both times there’s been a miscommunication between server and kitchen somehow. Both times we’ve noticed it’s a regular bun not a GF bun. Communication could be better. But typically it is safe and celiac husband has been fine.
Well….I really don’t know how safe it is because I had stomach issues for a couple of days afterwards which is a sign for me. I want to love it though because it was SO GOOD!!! I would probably try it again in case it was a fluke because they were knowledgeable.
We got the spinach and artichoke dip. It was good. I got a burger with a GF bun and my daughter had a regular bun. The burgers came out both with regular buns. They took mine back and brought me a burger on a GF bun with the wrong toppings but it was still good so I didn’t mention it. The waitress was training someone new and the new person put the order in and left off the GF bun so I think that’s where the mix up came in. I was reassured that the new burger had a new patty. The burger was WONDERFUL!!! I honestly don’t think I’ve had a better GF burger. The meat was cooked “ No Pink “ and was incredibly juicy. We also got an order of fries with a couple of sauces (honey mustard and chipotle). The fries were good. The sauces were just ok.
I would try it again
Our server, Autumn was friendly and very patient with our questions regarding gluten and dairy. The fries are made in their own fryer and they use Udi’s gluten-free buns. The fries were good and most of the dipping sauces are gluten free. Burger’s are served with aside salad. I love the variety of burger toppings/types. My burger was good but not great. It was fun to try but I don’t think the quality/quantity was worth the price.
Only do fries in the fryer! Was told gf buns come individually wrapped. Servers were very helpful and the food was excellent.
We tried based on other reviews for celiacs and we had a great experience. Two of us have celiac and we had the basic burger with a GF bun, salad (comes on the side with GF vinegrettte), and fries - from a dedicated fryer! Wait staff very knowledgeable about gluten/celiac and food came out marked. Much of the menu can be made GF (although menu was not marked). Highly recommend!
Lots of GF and Celiac safe options. I spoke to someone on Facebook before going and they said that most of the menu is GF. The only items that get fried in the fryers are the French fries and anything that does contain gluten has a small “x” next to it. I let the server know I had an “allergy” and they really took care of me. The burger and the fries were both really good!
Great gluten-free options! The meat is delicious and so are the fries to dip the sauce in. There is a dedicated fryer for the fries (which is always hard to come by). The reason I give four stars is because the wait staff is not very friendly sometimes, and for the price of the restaurant, I expect good service.
They have great burgers and gluten free buns, but on my last visit (08/27/16) I told the waitress that I had a gluten allergy and wanted a gluten free bun but I was served a burger with a regular wheat bun. I asked the server if it was gluten free, and he checked and it wasn't, so he asked if he could bring me a GF bun to put the burger on. I said that was unacceptable, so they made me a new burger, but I was still unimpressed.
