I’ve eaten here several times with no issues. Wait staff is knowledgeable about gf options. Their fries are safe and amazing!
One of the best burgers that I have had. We’ve only been there at lunch and I have always been asked if the gluten-free was because of an allergy. GF bun is Udis and is fine. Good place!
If you can get past the waitstaff’s indifference toward customers the food is outstanding. One of the best GFree buns I’ve found. Fries are marvelous! Decent bar. Just be prepared to wait awhile for a server to approach your table... made me feel like I was intruding. Not sure I’ll drop by very often.
Some servers care, some don’t. I am also allergic to dairy, and they’ve “dosed” me twice there now. The food is sooo good, and their gluten free bun is really good, so I keep going back.
My 3 1/2 year old has celiac. I called Burger Bach in advance and they seemed very knowledgeable and assured me that the fries are celiac safe, fried in a dedicated fryer, that their burger patties would not be cross contaminated with any gluten. The manager sounded so knowledgeable that I felt comfortable taking him. He ate the pattie with no buns, fries and their ketchup. All confirmed by the waitress to be safe and gluten free. He was sick for 2 days after. I have no idea how he was glutened but I will not trust this place again.
I frequent this eatery for the amazing burger and fries with a dedicated frier :-) The servers will let the kitchen know how to modify your order for food sensitivities. I have never had a problem. They do have GF buns.
(This review is not strictly about gluten allergies; I have additional food allergies.) I told the waitress my food allergies when I sat down, when I ordered my food (she repeated them back to me), and confirmed with her again after the food was in the system. The first burger contained allergens that I spotted after I started eating. The waitress removed the burger and did a rush order on another burger. The manager stopped by with the new burger and assured me this burger was allergen-friendly. After talking, I found out it had been communicated to the manager post-order that I was dairy-free; I had communicated to the waitress that I was gluten-free, egg-free, soy-free, and corn-free. The manager then told me he was supposed to oversee orders with allergen alerts (however, he wasn’t notified until after I received my order), so I’m not sure where the miscommunication happened. Since I was unsure if my allergens were communicated properly to the kitchen, we asked the manager check the new burger again, although the manager still believed it was allergen-friendly; however, this burger also contained allergens, and he removed it. I left without eating. I had an allergic reaction, even after I took a Benadryl; unfortunately, one bite was all it took. The manager ultimately comped our meal. He took my contact information and called me the next day to check on me. The manager did all he could to resolve the issue, but I would be afraid to eat here again with my allergies.
Our little son has celiac, and this place is by far his favorite spot! They have dedicated fryer, and staff is knowledgeable that cross contamination is critical. Heavily suggested. Hope they open a place in DC area!
I’ve eaten here several times and love it! They are very knowledgeable and most burgers can be made GF. They have GF buns and their fries are the only thing they fry. All of their fry dipping sauces are GF (and delicious!), just avoid the malt vinegar on the table. My favorite is the East Coast burger (Brie, blueberry chipotle sauce, and bacon).
Loved it! I had a lamb burger on the gluten free bun and it was delicious. The fries are in a dedicated fryer and were very good. Most of the dipping sauces are gluten free. Everything was fresh. Items that are known to contain gluten are designated on the regular menu. We Will definitely be returning!
