I had a Veggie Burger on Gluten free bun and a few tator tots and seasoned fries. Definitely oily including the veggie patty but tasted good. My stomach started hurting and was not okay for a few days after eating this meal. Not sure if it was cross contamination but I am not willing to have the same meal again. Salad maybe. Hope your experience is better than mine.
Waiter was knowledgeable about celiac. He said fries are gf, fried in a separate fryer. We had heard onion rings are gf but server confirmed fried pickles, fried zucchini and onion rings are not gf. Our celiac family member ordered the gf fried chicken sandwich on gf bun, and gf flourless chocolate cake. Both were excellent. There were not enough staff members working so we did have to wait a bit to pay. Turkey burger was dry so I would likely not order that again.
This place is my new favorite! Hands down, the best burger I've ever had. I ordered a Beyond Burger made the classic American way with a chocolate milkshake, while my significant other tried the bison burger. The gluten-free bun was unbelievable—it was fluffy yet held together perfectly. I asked if i could buy it anywhere and they don’t have it available. But the service was amazing, too. Our waitress was accommodating, answering all my questions and even bringing out the ingredient book so I could double-check specifics. I just wish this spot was closer to home, so good!
Wonderful experience and wonderful food! Nino, our server, was super knowledgeable. We were told everything but 4 (or 5) things could be made gluten free. He also explained that there is no mixing or cross contamination - they are careful and proud about this. I am the only gf one in my family, and I had absolutely no issues, and the burger was delicious and juicy! My husband and kids enjoyed their glutinous burgers, chicken nugs, and fried pickles too! We will definitely return! And shout out to Nino, again, for being great. He had a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable!
Went for dinner a few nights ago and had no issues, I got fries (dedicated fryer) and chicken tenders…the chicken tenders omg I was a little nervous eating them because if they didn’t say they’re gf I would have never guessed it! Sooo good! Whole fam enjoyed dinner here…cool place and will definitely stop again when in the area! Just a side note my husband read somewhere they have Gf onion rings…the waiter checked with the kitchen-bummer they don’t.
We were really looking forward to trying this place from all of the same reviews. We ordered the gluten free tater tots, tomato soup, and a salad. All were marked gluten free. Our server didn't seem to be very knowledgeable. He told me that certain things were gluten free, but I asked him to check and they weren't. When I asked about the burgers, he confirmed that they cook them on the same place as the regular buns. So, I skipped getting a burger. When he brought our food, he brought regular crackers with the soup. I asked if they were gluten free and he left to check again. They were in an enclosed bag, so we just let him take them away. By the end of our meal, we were both feeling not good (two of us have celiac). And by the evening, we were certain we were glutened. I was surprised because I figured that it would be safe, but we will not return to this place. Beware.
Had a great experience. Got boneless wings with no sauce (I didn’t want anything spicy) and fries. Chicken was very tender. Menu clearly marked except French fries. They don’t have a GF next to them but they are and have a dedicated fryer for all their fried food. They seemed super relaxed about allergies, as in, it was not a big deal to accommodate them as that is part of their philosophy. Next time I go, I’ll get a burger but wasn’t in the mood for beef the night I went. It was nice to get chicken that was “breaded” and feel normal. I would recommend this for a celiac.
I knew from this app that this place was safe. However, when I asked “are all the burgers gluten free” (because they are not clearly labeled, the waitress looked confused and unsure and said that only the 3 vegan burgers are gluten free. I asked if she could follow up with a manager just to double check. She did and apologized saying they are all gluten free.
I ended up getting the lamb burger on a gluten free bun(which is also not on the menu) bland tater tots. Delicious and will definitely be back!
Stumbled upon this as I was looking for a GF place in downtown Raleigh to eat- I should say a safe place. Thanks to this app I found this burger village. GREAT burgers, I had the regular beef cheeseburger and fries. No cross contamination- the staff is very knowledgeable, just a great experience! I recommend!
The gluten free burger bun dissolved within the first two bites. Spoke with the manager and gave him that feedback and he said they were udi’s brand. But he said they have a dedicated work station and fryers. I think more on the menu is gf because he said the fries are even tho they aren’t marked on the menu. Lots of dairy free and soy free options.
Burgers were great - they so many options from grass fed beef, to specialty game meats and even beyond meatless. Udi’s buns, DEDICATED FRIER FOR HAND CUT FRIES!!! We will absolutely be back!
We had a great experience at Burger Village. So many options. All the meats are gluten free and have gluten free buns. Their chicken tenders are gluten free and made in a dedicated fryer! I got the tenders and a turkey burger with California Mystery toppings. All the sauces are gf! They also have several Vegan/gf options!
