During a rush they ended up giving me a regular bun. They did refund and profusely apologized. So just a warning there is always a risk of cross contamination or wrong order. I ate about half the burger before I realized and asked the server to verify it was gluten free, sadly it was not.
We had lunch at Burgerworx a few days ago when passing through Asheville. I got the grilled chicken on a gluten-free bun; it was good, the bun did not fall apart, and it wasn't dry or tasteless. (You can also get the fried chicken gluten free.) The fries are gluten-free, too.
Super good burgers! Vegan cheese is available, and fries are GF and dedicated fryer. Potentially the best GF bun I’ve ever had and definitely looked gluten free. Register was familiar with celiac disease and when my burger came out with the wrong bun (honest mistake) they took it back and remade the entire thing without a fuss at all.
All three of us chose the fried chicken sandwich because how often can you enjoy delicious gf fried chicken on an equally delicious gf bun?! The sweet potato waffle fries were perfectly crispy and the regular fries were very good, too. They have dedicated gf fryers so we knew everything was safe. Great service, too!
I’m not celiac , but I just had my first DELICIOUS FRIED chicken sandwich on a bun WITH sweet potatoes fries - ALL GF ❣
This review is hard. My husband and I visited during our mini-moon. I have some dietary restrictions that I discussed with staff during and after ordering. I ordered a double on a gluten free bun with several friendly toppings. When the burgers were delivered my husband questioned the staff to ensure he received the correct bun. It didn’t look quite right and had a toothpick on top, that typically indicates the patron has an allergy. They assured us that his was the regular bun and mine was gluten free. Well, time told the truth because later I was quite ill. Fortunately I am not celiac, but the staff should certainly be better trained. To be fair, the food was delicious
I’m new to the celiac community & am still so nervous to eat out so I don’t do it often anymore. BUT after reading the great reviews of this place I figured I would give this place a try & can I just say YUM!! The best burger and fries I’ve had in the longest time & probably the only time without being sick after! They also have dairy free cheese options too along with a dedicated fryer for the French fries! They were so kind & the chef came out to make sure I knew everything was prepared safely! If you’re in the area definitely check this place out!
We just happened to stumble upon this place and I’m so glad we did. They have gluten free buns but more importantly a gluten free fryer. The burgers and fries tasted great! We will definitely be back.
We’ve eaten at Burgerworx in Asheville several times, and the burgers are always delicious. They offer gluten free burgers that are surprisingly good. Their fries are cooked in a shared fryer, so we avoided those. Three people in our family have a gluten allergy, and one of them is celiac, and we’ve never had a reaction of any kind.
