I had a great experience at Burton's. Within moments of sitting down the manager was at our table. The owner of the chain has celiac disease and one of the other executives has a shrimp allergy. Therefore, custom eaters are a focus of the chain.
They are well versed in cross-contact and will answer any of your questions, so you can decide if you feel comfortable eating there. Additionally, there is a gluten sensitive menu that you can ask for when you walk in. The restaurant also has a dedicated fryer. The french fries were one of my favorite parts of the meal!
At the table next to us, we overheard the ladies surprised to find out that their dessert (using GF flours and all) was gluten free. While there is gluten in the kitchen, they do prepare many menu items that would naturally have gluten without it, so there are many options for those with celiac disease. I would definitely dine here again.
