Cakery Cafe at Copperleaf

Really good food… I would give 5stars for taste but that makes the overall score high and that’s not cool since I did get sick…I had the gf BLT… had a reaction and it took several days to recover fully :( I have gluten intolerance and an autoimmune related to that but rarely have a reaction out (handful over the last 8 years since going gluten free)…reading more reviews I assume it’s probably because they make their own bread…gluten “friendly” I guess but not gluten free

Ordered breakfast sandwich on bread…. Listened to manager point out to cook that he served it on a bun not bread, then tell him not to worry about it and serve as is… when I asked about it, was twice told that the bun WAS the bread. Thankfully a gluten free server walked by and corrected the situation, but not a great experience.

Stopped by hoping to get a gluten free bakery item and was disappointed to learn that their gluten free items are made in a shared space and displayed alongside gluten containing items. Was informed the gluten free options are intended to be gluten friendly, not safe for an allergy.

Very helpful server explained that eggs and homefries are cooked in separate pan . Also have gf toast. According to counter person bread is not made in house.

I ordered gf French toast. It was safe but underwhelming. No butter, syrup was yummy but bacon looked like left over from yesterday.

This place is awesome they have amazing food that is mostly gluten free. They make their own gf bread and desert in house.
