I loved this place! Nice how they mark what’s NOT gluten free and everything else on the menu is!

This place was great. Their fries, chicken and sauces are gf. I did not get sick after eating them. I am diagnosed celiacs but not very sensitive to cross contamination, so personally I felt fine after going but I cannot speak for someone who is extremely sensitive. But overall highly recommend!!!

Love this place! I’ve been here multiple times. Very friendly workers too. I get the chicken tenders with Devil’s Garlic. Edit: Couple months ago they added new gluten items to the menu and when I went they weren’t able to confirm whether they have a dedicated gf fryer so I no longer go here.

UPDATE: I got food from here for the third time, and this time it tested positive for gluten (cross contamination) with my NIMA. I would probably still go again since 2/3 results have been gluten free, but I will definitely keep testing my food every time.
I’ve been here twice now and both times the food has tested gluten free with my NIMA (and I’m very sensitive and didn’t get sick)! The food tastes amazing as well. I would just make sure to specify “gluten allergy” because the newer menu seems to have more non gf options, and I’m not sure if everything is correctly marked.

DO NOT EAT HERE!! Within just a couple hours of eating here, I was so sick. I have been up all night and am currently the most sick I have ever been. I am not a super sensitive celiac, so there must have been a lot of gluten in my food… yay.

Absolutely the best gluten-free chicken I have ever had and maybe even one of the best fried chickens I’ve ever had. I also love that they adjust to gluten-free allergy and you separate cooking areas for avoidance of cross contamination

Lots of options for either (what I presume is) Korean style chicken or just a simple fried chicken. Overheard a local say how this is the only restaurant around that doesn’t give her gluten issues.

Everything I want in a restaurant. Hidden away, locally owned, not fancy, and the damn best fried chicken I have ever had. Took my two sons, both with Celiac. Calvin’s passed the big test: in the morning both asked when we can go back! Go Go Go

Not every day you walk into a fried chicken place and the menu marks what is NOT gluten free vs what is!
Excellent fried chicken, waffle fries in a dedicated fryer. Dairy-free too.

Absolutely delicious and the staff was very knowledgeable. The employee at the register notified the kitchen that ours was a gluten allergy as soon as she entered our order and let us know it would be a few minutes extra since they were prepping for a gluten allergy. That being said, the food came faster than expected. It was good and no reaction from our 2 celiacs.

Great Korean fried chicken. Dedicated fryer, all the sauces and fries are gluten free. I will come here again when I’m the area. They are very stingy with the napkins tho 🤪

Incredible Korean fried chicken - I've eaten here several times and never had an issue, aside from some of the spiciness wrecking my stomach ("pure evil" spice level is not for the faint of heart). They have a few items that are not gluten free, including onion rings and jalapeño poppers. All of the chicken and the fries are safe, but if you call and ask beforehand they will clarify everything for you. Great service and great food!

Delish!! Hubby got the sando ( not celiac), I got tenders and fries….so, so good! We didn’t eat it for almost 25 minutes but it was still not an crisp! Go!!! All sauces, chicken and fries are GF. It is kinda hidden in an older, 2 level strip mall.

THE ONION RINGS ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE.
We have a family of celiacs and love eating here — we just finished a full meal, including sharing an order of onion rings with the entire table.
After finishing the meal I called and clarified: Yes, the onion rings do have gluten.

The chicken breading was GF DF. The combo came with GF waffle fries, slaw and butter rice. They were able to make the rice DF for us by not adding butter. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The food was good with large portions. I’m super sensitive and didn’t get sick. We will be back.

Holy Cow! It’s all true. Glad I listened to everyone on this site/app! It is absolutely delicious, crispy, and relatively light. Just went with 3 tenders and they were fantastic. Got them delivered to a nearby hotel and the delivery service was also excellent. I can see why one reviewer would be brought nearly to tears for something you can’t normally enjoy like this! Just get this chicken, man!!

This is the best chicken tender I've ever had pre and post Celiac. The food is amazing. I opted for some non-spicy tenders and they were really flavorful, and a tiny bit saucy. The waffle fries, and coleslaw that it comes with are delicious too.

Great food, generous portions, and wonderful service. All fried chicken flavors are gluten free, as are the vast majority of side dishes. Would highly recommend! I’d also recommend to order some dipping sauces to go with the chicken. Ranch and Secret Sauce were both awesome!!

We ordered at the front on our phones then picked up the order and ate right outside. I got the 2 tenders box. Very generous portions and each item was so good! Literally cry when I find places like this because I thought I would never have fried chicken again!

My rant/issue is largely due to covid restrictions that are still in place as of oct 2021: They make you order all food online (the employees will not talk to you before). None of the employees were wearing gloves or washing their hands between handling food. So if the order before yours has a sandwich, massive cross contamination issues. I attempted to have a conversation about this because of celiac, and the employees just simply wouldn’t. It was disappointing, and I did test the food on my nima sensor (I know it’s not perfect), but even that amount of cross contamination was picked up.

This was some delicious fried chicken battered with cornstarch. My two pieces were huge, and I couldn't eat them both. I got the devil garlic sauce which was very, very spicy. Will get the next lower spice level next time. Tamari was used in the sauces. The fries were crisp. Iwas told everything is GF except the onion rings (fried separately) and the roll for the sandwich. It was a great experience.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious, and if you mention that you have celiacs they will fry everything in the gf fryer. Normally the sides are fried in a fryer with gf cross contamination, so make sure you mention this.
All the chicken sauces are made with gluten free soy sauce and are extremely good.
I’ve been here five or six times and haven’t gotten sick at all.

Picked this up for dinner tonight. Was told the breading on the chicken is a corn starch and rice flour blend. Also asked about the sauces and was told all the sauces are now tamari based. It was so good!

Great gluten free fried chicken. Calvin’s wasn’t intended to be gluten free; he just found that a gluten free batter made the best chicken.
Fries, tenders and wings are all incredible. Some sides are strangely bad: avoid the slaw (just cabbage in vinegar) and edamame and corn (unseasoned and cold).
Unclear if the dipping sauces are gf, so I’d avoid if sensitive. Additionally, gluten containing bread, onion rings and poppers are sold (and it’s not clear what the cross contamination protocols are).

Calvin makes amazing friend chicken. As someone who is celiac, finding good fried chicken is really difficult. Calvin explained that he was just looking to make the crispiest and crunchiest fried chicken he could- it just turned out the batter just happened to be gluten free! What a happy surprise. Only a couple of the wing options are GF right now since he just opened, but Calvin explained with the recent influx of GF customers, he plans on adding GF buns and to convert most of his sauce options to GF in the coming weeks. So, it should be a mostly gf menu!!! I also expect that he will mark the menu better with the gf options going forward. It seems like since he’s just getting started things are still getting settled, but he plans on better catering to the GF crowd going forward. GF or not, this was GREAT fried chicken and my non-gf partner loved it too. Give it a try!!!
