Things were labeled GF on menu. It was busy, but we had great service. They were patient with us asking questions and requesting certain food preparation precautions. My daughter was so happy to have GF chips that were in a dedicated fryer. She ordered the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas.
I found this restaurant through this app. I was surprised to see that they only had a few items marked as gluten-free on the menu (I expected most of them would be). Things I would have thought were gluten free (like dishes made with beef and corn tortillas) were not gluten-free because of the seasonings. Our server made things a lot better for me because she made suggestions and offered to check with the chef if anything I wanted could be prepared gluten-free. Also, when unsure about whether a dessert was gluten-free, she went to talk to the chef and he took the time to look up the recipe and even came out to go over it with me. Our server understood celiac because she had a friend who was celiac. The food was really good and it really felt like they took celiac seriously.
Ate here on 7/21/23 and I checked with the waitress and she assured me the chips were fried in a separate fryer. I had them with the queso and had no reaction! I also ordered a kid’s cheese enchilada (lol) and again no reaction! I would always recommend double checking about the chips though every time.
There were only a handful of items on the menu that could be made gluten free, no dedicated menu. Unfortunately most of them contained fish which I’m also allergic to so I had 2 choices. I selected a GF chicken breast with a sauce and black beans. I was sick within an hour. Wouldn’t recommend for celiac.
Great food! Brisket tacos were amazing and the chef came out personally to go over the gluten free options. Warning *chips are gluten free but fried with other non gluten free items*
5 stars! I was so nervous to eat here but they were very knowledgeable, the waiter asked if I had celiacs when I inquired about gluten free menus. I had the chips, salsa, queso, guac and the fish tacos with double rice. The rice was different than my husbands, it was white rice/ green and the corn tortillas made me suspicious bc they looked like flour, but our waiter Johnny took my plate back to the kitchen to double check and he was write, they were the corn tortillas. I did not get sick! Really nice meal, I would come back again.
