We have eaten at Cap City Diner four times (coming from out of town). Two of our experiences have been great; two have been awful. This most recent time we went at lunch and were seated at the diner window where we could look into the kitchen. The waitress did a great job checking my allergies and Celiac considerations. I ordered a piece of fish, some plain rice, and sautéed peppers.
They told me they would custom cook my meal just for me.
As I got half way through my meal I found a two inch section of noodle. Absolutely baffling. There was NO noodle in my dish or any way that should have happened — and it was buried IN my food. The manager was apologetic and we left without paying for our dinner... but I definitely paid for my meal in other ways.
I wish I could recommend Cap City Diner, But 50% of our experiences have ended badly. If you have serious allergies/Celiac, eat at your own risk.
