They do not understand the importance of keeping gluten separate and that contamination can cause a reaction. I told my waitress I was allergic to gluten and asked if she knew what my options were. She said look for the “GF”. That’s it. I saw pulled pork on a bun on the menu, but it didn’t have a “GF”. I asked her if it was possible to make it gluten free and sub rice for the bun. She said she would check, and came back saying it was fine. Then I got my food there were deep fried flour-coated onions on top. I immediately told the person serving them, and he went back, saw her and told her. A few minutes later I got the same food. They just took the fried onions off the top. So any flour could have fallen into my food, plus the fryer IS NOT dedicated gluten free as noted in this app. So please beware.

No dedicated fryer. Staff vary. Pasta wasn't great. You can get by here, if you are careful. Atmosphere is nice. Outdoor area in the back with large sand "beach" with volleyball. Often there is live music.
Definitely not a good place for gluten free. The servers recommend salads for gluten allergies. Still, very easy to get sick because they aren't aware of the allergy enough.
**addendum to previous post-I have since eaten here two times and have had reactions of varying degrees both times. Clearly they are not careful and I have gotten lucky in the past. Also staff was annoyed when I asked for precautions to be taken AND the last time they brought my plate out underneath a plate with a burger and fries...this place needs to get it together-g-free is not just a trend that the chef is waiting to pass, this is a health and safety issue**
There is a separate menu and some things are marked on the main menu as well. They've added a lot more options over just the past year. They have g-free pasta now too. I hope one day they'll add buns and fries (hence only four out of five stars). Great environment and food is delicious!
Not sure what the comment was about the slow service because they've always been very good to me. Sometimes it gets super busy and you have to flag down the waitstaff, but overall a good experience each time.
No
In the local newspaper, the chef said the "gluten free fad" is one of his pet peeves. Because this attitude, I as a celiac wouldn't trust anything he made.
Just spoke to head chef - they do NOT have a dedicated fryer and are not trained in preventing cross-contamination in the kitchen. Might be great for those who are not sensitive, but risky for sensitive celiacs!!
Good food. Slow service. Gluten free pasta.
Had penne a la vodka, it was awesome! Would definitely suggest this restaurant.
