Had a great GF meal with my family. Went on a Monday night and enjoyed the special for $13-15 / person. Soup or salad, entree and dessert (some of the fancier ones cost $2 more). Service was quick (ask for Chase as the sever). Found 1 regular noodle in the GF pasta dish. None of the 3 of us who are GF got sick. GF minestrone soup & Gelato were also yummy! Just make you let them know you are GF bc pasta can be made both ways (reg and GF). Other family members who ordered off the regular menu left satisfied. Husband and son enjoyed the soft bread and olive oil dipping sauce.
I only discovered I was allergic to wheat and peanuts approximately two weeks ago. I have always been allergic to dairy. There has been so much of a struggle to find a restaurant that has options for me with my trifecta of allergies. A lot of gluten-free places will use gluten-free ingredients, but cook on a surface that they just made wheat-filled bread on...etc. Or they tell me to eat a salad and all of their dressings have dairy in it. I was beginning to get really depressed as it is close to the holidays and I am giving up all of my favorite things (cookies, pasta, bread) without finding that great of gluten-sensitive alternatives, especially when a lot of those alternatives substitute a peanut-base for their bonding agent. Well, I went to Carrabba's tonight, 12/18/15 and was astounded by what they offered for my allergies. My server was very attentive to my needs and as they make everything from scratch, I was able to get the Sicilian Soup without the pasta in it. I also got a salad with a dressing that didn't have dairy/peanuts/wheat in it, and was able to eat pretty much anything else on the menu I wanted (I went with the Chianti Chicken). They also recently added to their menu the option to change any pasta to gluten-free pasta so you could potentially eat anything they have there (unless you have other allergies like me). Thank you thank you thank you Carrabba's!
I have eaten here several times and have never been sick. There are some tasty options and some good specials. With one exception the service has been excellent.
Service was poor, not a lot of good options, food was bad. I ordered a salad and when they messed up and put something in it I requested not to be added bc of an allergy, they took it back and did not remake it but PICKED THAT INGREDIENT OUT. Terrible.
They were very careful with our families order and were very well trained. They understood the need to use a separate pot to boil the GF pasta and a seperate colindar. They also carried out the gf meals separately. There were a lot of options on the menu too. I only wish they had gf bread and desserts.
Almost half if not more than half of the menu if gluten free! When I ordered the gluten free pasta, the chef came to personally deliver it and let me know how seriously they take gluten allergies. He made sure to mention that they took extra precautions when cooking my food to ensure cross contamination. I was extremely impressed and had no reaction at all. Easily a place I will be going back to!
Seriously? This place claims gluten free but totally is not aware. I get it that the waitress didn't have a clue, but when the chef sends me a bowl of gluten free pasta.... with linguini in the bottom from the previously botched order. Yea I'm still sitting here and am sick already. I hope I vomit because I'll do it on the table.
Good pasta, but our waiter was terrible. I had to wait an extra 30 mins to get my food because he messed up my order. When I did finally get the food, the rest of my party had finished. He had no gluten free knowledge.
Our server had no knowledge of gluten free food. My daughter wanted pasta with sauce. suggested whole grain pasta as an option. I hopped online since the menu did not indicate what sauces were GF, but that was not accurate. After 3 or 4 trips back to the kitchen we settled on GF pasta with pomodoro which was good enough and does not seem to have made her sick.
Catherine, our server was very knowledgeable of the gluten-free options and made sure the cooks knew not cross contaminate. The Italian grilled chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and a house salad was delicious! I will definitely be back! A+ for the service!
I've eaten here twice now, and both times have been incredible! The staff is very knowledgeable about celiac and was extremely accommodating. Both times our servers have allowed me to make my own meals by mixing and matching the gluten-free items on the menu. I was assured that my meals were cooked on freshly cleaned pans, separate from gluten-containing ingredients. I'm also dairy-free, and my waitress went above and beyond to make sure no cheese or butter went on my plate. She said someone in the kitchen spilled cheese on my original dish, so she had the chef remake it AND gave me a $20 gift card for the "inconvenience." Amazing service, didn't feel sick at all after. Highly recommend!
I've eaten here several times and always enjoyed their meals. They've updated their menus so their normal menu is labeled gf instead of having to ask for a separate menu. My faves: Caprese salad Chicken Bryan Eh: Minestrone soup (very bland)
food was absolutely delicious, the staff is very knowledgeable and the menu is marked with what is safe. they can make almost all pasta/sauces gluten free as they do not use flour in their Alfredo.(with the exception of ravioli and lasagna) the gluten free pasta is delicious and they are very careful about cross contamination and will not boil your pasta in the same water as regular pasta.
The food here is good, the menu has notifications on it to let you know if it is or can be made gluten free. I have eaten here before without getting sick, but recently I ate here and I think they gave me regular pasta instead of gluten free (the waitress wasn't listening that well), or it could have just been all the milk and cheese who knows. I not celiac so I didn't mind the stomach ache, but it would have been a lot better without it.
I ordered the gluten-free pasta as a side to the pork tenderloin. When it came out to the table my plate had whole wheat spaghetti instead of gluten-free pasta. The meat was touching the pasta so I sent it all back. I explained I could not eat what was touching as it would make me sick. Well I got sick!
I have found regular pasta in my GF dishes on two separate occasions. The first was take-out and one noodle so I simply stopped eating the meal. The second was eating out with family and there were two different kinds of regular pasta in my meal! The waiter and manager apologized multiple times... and yet let remarks out about other people having the SAME problem. The food is good, but the kitchen is CLUELESS on keeping things from cross contamination. Major disappointment.
Seriously the best Italian food I've had that's gluten free. Server and staff were knowledgeable about GF and cross contamination. The menu was integrated, with explanation of how to make an dish GF, if it wasn't labeled as gf to begin with. My son and I both loved the gluten free pasta and the house salad. I'd be careful if celiac but they did treat us like it was "normal" to be gf. Tons of options to select from.

Terrible experience despite gluten-free menu. Waitress joked about it as if it were no big deal. I was barely out the door when I realized that my meal had been cross contaminated. Manager offered me a free meal, but I requested that she retrain her staff. Will never go back.
