Wheat gluten affects my breathing & I've never had an issue at Carrabba's in Cape Coral FL. They've been very cautious every time. Thanks They also have gluten free pasta & other options. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten allergies

Carrabbas is my new favorite restaurant in Cape Coral! Gluten free is clearly labeled on their menu and every waiter/waitress I have had is knowledgeable. Their pasta is average and nothing special, but I am obsessed with their Tuscan Grilled Filet with the spicy Sicilian butter, asparagus and mashed potatoes. Their Caesar salad and caprese salad are also amazing. Highly recommend!

I eat at the Cape Coral location quite often and have never had an issue. I always make the staff aware I have Celiac & a wheat allergy. My reaction is respiratory so any wheat or gluten cross contamination is quickly evident.
Yes
This was a terrible experience I ordered the Jonny Rocco salad it was supposed to come with ricotta salantra cheese made with sheep milk they put ramano made with cows milk. I can’t have cows milk and I shared that with our waiter Cory. He kept saying he wasn’t responsible for what the kitchen does. I’d like to know who is because they remade the salad and turned the shrimp and scallops upside down. They were covered with cheese on the underside. What are they thinking or not. I know I’ll suffer the consequences tomorrow. I had shared all of my many allergies with Cory upon arrival. The manager never came to the table during all of this. Do not go to this Carrarabas restaurant they aim to poison you.
No
First time visiting Carrabba’s since going gluten free. GF items are marked on menu and there is a gluten free pasta substitute that you can ask the server about. Unfortunately I did not feel too safe with cross contamination. I asked the server how the GF pasta would be prepared and if anything is shared, and she said that it would be boiled in the same water used for the regular pasta but still assured that it is safe for me. I asked for it to be boiled in a separate pot, but I’m not sure if anything else was shared in preparation of the food.

My husband and I enjoy eating at Carrabba’s and have found it to be a safe place for me. I order steak (cooked on its own pan) with butter, salt and pepper, bowl of Mama Mandola’s Scilian Chicken Soup (no pasta) and their signature salad with no croutons, extra cheese and olives, yum! * It’s important to note: the pasta is added to the soup when they “plate” the dish and not cooked in the pot which makes it gluten free! * Additionally, I’m incredibly sensitive to cross contact so I always ask for my salad to be made with fresh ingredients not “on the line”. They have always been so great and supportive! *allergens: gluten, mushrooms, honey, coconut and all nuts.

No longer safe, sadly. The noodles have changed and I ended up very very sick; usually I have no problems after eating here.

The staff was nice and friendly. They took my allergy seriously. The have a button on their ordering system that automatically makes your whole order gluten free.
