I got fries and my sister got onion rings and she found a fry with her onion rings so we realized they must share a fryer. I got brisket without barbecue sauce because the barbecue sauce has gluten. It had a good flavor but was kinda dry. I also got the greens which were really good and I put the leftover juice on my brisket. Long story short the fries got me a little sick.

Not a massive selection spike to server who was able to advise about sauces etc really nice meal
Ordered the pulled pork plate as per recommendation of others on this app and didn’t realize the sauce comes on top unless you ask otherwise. So make sure to ask for no sauce and no roll! Ordered green beans and collard greens as my sides and had no reactions. We are from Texas so we have decently high standards of bbq and the food was good but not good enough to go out of our way and go again.

Not really an option for celiac, they use malt in their rubs and sauces. They also have a shared fryer.

Ate at the one on Poplar today for lunch. Had pulled pork and green beans, following other prior suggestions here. No issues at all, staff was knowledgeable about GF choices. Food tasted good as well!

I have Celiacs disease and I chose to eat here. I ordered the pulled pork, green beans, and the homemade potato chips. I told them that I needed gluten free and they were very accommodating. I was with someone who was not Celiacs and everything was separated and I showed NO symptoms at all from being “glutened”. Definitely recommend. I did not try the sauces though.

Central bbq is great, but they use malt in the rub and in all the sauces, and the fryer is shared. I wish they would fix these issues because it's a fun place to take out of town guests and it's good food unless you are celiac.

They have a gluten free menu which I ordered from, but I still had a reaction. I think it was cross contamination with their chips which they said were gluten free.
Had pulled pork, turkey, and green beans with no issues. No sauce. Fryer is shared so I didn't trust the fried sides even though they were listed as gf.
Yes
Called and they gave me the cop out answer: gluten what? No, we don’t have any
Yes
Knowledgeable about celiacs, but have fries and homemade potato chips on their GF menu. These fried items are fried with their onion rings.
I called ahead of going and was told they have gf options. So, we went...the person who I ordered with didn't put my order in correctly and my plate had a roll on it. Thankfully it wasn't near anything else so I removed it with a paper towel. Of all the sides they had, the only one guaranteed to be gf was green beans, so I ordered both of my sides as green beans. I've had MUCH better bbq in St Louis and Kansas City. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME.

Book clearly detailing allergens available. Staff knowledgeable and made a note on my order to change gloves and did not give me any bread. I've given them 5 stars as the service was good, the food yummy (and I rarely eat meat but the 1/2 chicken with bbq sauce was moist and delicious) and I felt absolutely fine afterwards.
If you like dry meat, have at it... The meats are GF but none of the sauces are. I specified for my plate to be GF so I was surprised when my plate came with a dinner roll. I asked the manager if it was GF and he immediately became snarky. He said he'd take it back and get me a new one. I said to be sure it was a new plate and to not just remove the roll. He gave me a bit of a dirty look as he dumped the plate into the trashcan and snapped, "I know how it's done!" I also found out that their gluten-free menu and what the manager said was GF did not mesh. I had the pulled chicken which was super dry and no real BBQ flavors, turnip greens which were boiled with i seasoning or flavors, and canned green beans which were the only real moisture to choke down the chicken. Do not recommend.

I was excited about the idea of BBQ nachos. I called first and was told their sauce contains gluten; only their meat is GF. it's survivable if friends want to eat there but IMO not worth being included in this app.

Manager said that the dry rub contains gluten. Ingredients change, pulled pork is moist & tasty. My husband says his glutenized ribs are good. His sides were: potato chips(glutenized ) & slaw (also glutenized ). It was fun even though my expectations to have ribs were shattered.
Yes
NOT rating food quality, but called to talk to management and they said all there meats are GF but there sauces are not GF.
Yum! Ribs are dry rubbed and never in marinade. They are delish. They have angry orchard cider too. The sauce bar has two choices, hot and mild. Both GF. My boyfriend has celiac and loved it.
Awesome ribs. It was recommended to me by a local to get them dry and then dip in sauce. I mixed mild with hot and it was great. I had greens and cole slaw for my sides and had no issues.
We stopped in Memphis with a hankering for BBQ and Google brought us to Central. I called in and they told me that all of their meats are GF and I checked a bottle of sauce and that is also safe. My dad and I split a dry rack of ribs and it was good, just be sure to ask for no rolls. There aren't many side options though.
New gluten free menu. Server on phone was not knowledgeable, but the manager is a dietician and was a great help with our questions.

Good barbecue. Items are marked GF on the menu but the servers are not very knowledgeable about the options. We had the smoked turkey and the dry rub ribs and both were tasty. There are no GF beer options here.

This restaurant has gluten free items marked on the menu with GF and had quite a lot of choices. We were excited when they were able to sub out pork rinds for tortilla chips in our nacho order! (We are on the keto diet.) They also subbed out the chips for french fries for my children. They were happy to enjoy “loaded fries”.
