Review of Centro Cafe

Cannot say enough good things about this place. It is a little slice of heaven in Riverwest. The decor is amazing and the gluten free foods are even better. Gf pasta (They use RPs fresh gluten free pasta out of Madison, WI), Gf garlic bread, gf pizza, risotto, the list goes on.... It is such a treat to eat here!!

I have to disagree with a previous poster's one star review for lack of reservations. They don't take reservations, except for maybe Mother's day? Centro is a small and POPULAR place, with no great space to wait. So, when there is a wait for a table, they suggest a couple local watering holes (Foundation and Company Brewing are each a block away) for your group to grab a drink and then they call when you're ready. This model is great because it supports local businesses and gives you something to do while you wait. It also keeps everyone from standing out in the cold! Often times our table has been ready quite a bit earlier than expected (I would way have a restaurant over estimate than underestimate) so sometimes you have to scramble back before you thought you would. So...of course it is going to take a few minutes for those people to come back for a table, but in my experience, the food is worth the wait. Go hang out at one of those places and then go enjoy your amazing gluten free meal at Centro. If you can't stand waiting, then I've usually had great luck going right at 5/5:30 on weeknights and have had no wait.

Yes
