First time having chinese in 8 years! Everything is fried separately, and my box was bagged separately and marked GF. I ordered the general chicken with white rice, it was good but the rice was not very fresh. The line was out the door, so it was busy, and it was still really good. It’s the next day and no reaction!
Delicious gf chinese! My family loved the non-gf too. We all ordered the sweet and sour chicken but I got the gf version with gf chicken fried rice. They packaged my egg roll with the non gf orders since it contains gluten. Very knowledgeable and friendly! First time have chinese in 9 years! It was so good.
We traveled over an hour to try this restaurant, and it was well worth the trip! The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered General Tso’s Chicken, and my husband had the Sweet-and-Sour Chicken. We also got double portions of chicken fried rice since the eggrolls aren’t gluten-free. Both dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. Gluten free soy sauce is available upon request. We also had egg drop soup, and it was good. There was a $4.50 upcharge for each gluten-free meal, clearly stated on the menu, and it was well worth the price!
On a sidenote, currently the dining room is open from 4 to 8 PM, and takeout is available all day. However, starting October 30, there will be no dine-in option due to low staff. Be sure to call ahead for the most up-to-date hours and information on dine-in or carry-out options. Today is 9/28/24.
It’s such a treat to finally enjoy Chinese food at a restaurant after all these years. I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures of our meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving great Chinese food that can be prepared gluten-free!
It's been ages since I had good Chinese food! A friend of mine told me about this place, they use separate pans/fryer for GF items and instead of an egg roll, you get double fried rice. There is an up charge for GF but I'm fine with that because they are careful and it tastes great!
Was going to this place before Celiac and was pleasantly surprised it was still an option after. Can even order delivery through door dash if you specify gluten free in the notes (still costs a little extra) more than worth it with the extra rice. Adore this place. If you order with others who aren't gluten free they'll even bag it separately.
I got two dishes done GF and my God it was delicious.
I will be back.. I am severely sensitive celiac and they took good care of me ❤. I hope they never leave,😁
One thing though, call in advance and ask for any items you might like and see if they can make it gluten free. They can't do the egg rolls or anything with a wrap gluten free but almost everything else seems to be fine!
Omgsh!!!! I found out this restaurant was offering gf and when I tell you I ran to order lol. I ordered almond boneless chicken and broccoli and steak. It’s been a full decade without Chinese food and I couldn’t decide which I wanted more. I’m ecstatic to report I didn’t get sick. The only thing I couldn’t have from my meal was the eggrole but I didn’t care cause I don’t like them and my husband does so they put mine in with his. They can even make the fried rice. I’m already thinking about the next time we will order so I can try more of my favorite dishes.
I found this place on through the Gluten Free Metro Detroit Facebook. The menu doesn’t indicate which meals can be made GF, but they’ll tell you pretty everything can be made GF except the spring rolls and crab rangoon.
I ordered the orange chicken that came with egg drop soup and got double fried rice instead of an egg roll. Everything tasted great and the staff was very kind and knowledgeable about making my food GF. When I got the bill, I noticed I was charged an extra $4 for a “gluten free fee” that I wasn’t told about beforehand. One day later I haven’t felt sick from eating there.
Love this place, they're very gluten free knowledgeable, they give you extra rice in the combo meals knowing the egg roll isn't gluten free, they have a dedicated area to cook for those who can't have cross contamination. All the staff is aware and very nice. They will tell you what they have gluten free and it's very affordable. I know sesame chicken and almond boneless chicken, I've had the sesame chicken and I love it.
So happy to find a Chinese restaurant that offers gluten almond boneless chicken (using corn starch) and makes a new gravy for you when asked that is gluten free (no flour). They have a separate fryer as well.
They pretty much can make anything gluten free since they gave gluten free soy sauce too except wonton/dumplings, lo Mein noodles and eggs.
I’ve had their beef & broccoli, pork mei fun (rice noodles), chicken gai kow, and almond boneless chicken.
All so good!
The younger girl is easier to communicate your allergies. But the older one I’ve talked to does try.
