Chicago's Pizza

I have ordered this twice for delivery and have not gotten sick. It's not my fave pizza but I like it and it will reman in rotation. It might be worth choosing the "well done" option if you like a crunchier crust.

They have multiple sizes so you can get a GF pizza that is larger than 10". There's a place to write in allergies when ordering and the pizza comes in a box that is a different color (green) and says Gluten Free. Yay all around.

I give 4 stars for safety because while I have not gotten sick, I have not checked in with management about safety protocols in the kitchen.

Ordered two gluten-free Chicago style pizzas. Came in distinctive green gluten-free pizza boxes. It was easily ordered online in advance of our visit and was a short walk from Paulina L-train station. Was well worth the price and travel to get there, had great flavor, and no reactions to the food by my celiac son or myself. Highly recommend!

Yes, it is that good, yes, it is safe, and yea, it's DEEPDISH. So what are you waiting for? The owner is one of the most excellent guy. He gets it and has a somewhat dedicated area. I drove 50 minutes for it. Worth it!!!

First of all they come out and said are there any allergies which is awesome!!! They also have gluten free bread. It was so good. It tasted like normal bread and was light and airy. I ordered the 10” gluten free deep dish cheese pizza. It was really good too!!! If you are in town you NEED to go here!!!

Amazing service and staff. The greeting included asking if there was a gluten allergy. Cheesy garlic bread and deep dish pizza was amazing. They do have pasta, thin crust, and desserts too.

This was the only place I found doing deep dish gluten-free pizza and it was my first time ever eating deep dish. It was great! A lot of food for one person and you could tell the quality of the crust was gf, but it was still delicious and gave me the full experience! Plus the menu has other gf options and they seem to take cross contamination seriously!

Excellent experience! The first thing they asked before we even sat down was if anyone had allergies or dietary restrictions. When I said I had celiac he smiled and said, “oh yeah, we’ll take care of you! We’re kind of known for it”. The food was amazing, immediately our waiter brought out gluten free bread for me and non gluten free for my fiancé. My fiancé said mine was so much better than his! Then the pizza OMG it was so good. I’ve had Lou Malnati’s and Pequod’s before I got diagnosed and I think this was somewhere in between the two. Maybe even as good as Pequod’s but just a different crust than theirs. But still great. I asked for a box to take the leftovers home and noticed they have green pizza boxes that say “gluten free” which they gave me. Their standard boxes are red. This is so smart to avoid mix ups. Absolutely loved it and felt amazing after!!

AMAZING experience! All of the great reviews meant I trusted ordering take out which was easy on their website. The pizza was great and the sauce was sweet. It was easy to communicate an allergy and the GF pizza came in a separate box. It was delicious!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. The pizza was amazing. Ordering direct from the website was so easy to do. Communication about the timing of the order was excellent so I could enjoy my food hot and fresh. I love that they have a different pizza box for their gluten-free pizza- which means to me they actually take pride and see this as an important part of their business rather than a pesky add-on. The description of their gluten-free journey on their website also underscores this. 10 stars if I could! I will be back for sure.

Love this place! My celiac son who goes to college in Chicago eats here regularly, and has never had a problem. They asked (unprompted)if we needed to be gluten free as we were seated, and served GF bread/olive oil to the celiacs. Lots of menu options. So nice to have a place for GF Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Super friendly service.

AMAZING GF deep dish pizza, garlic bread, focaccia! I felt super well-cared for. They ask immediately if anyone has an allergy, and they were amazingly attentive!

Update: I’ve been back 3 times now and it has been SO GOOD every time! I did takeout for the thin crust pizza most recently, and that too was delicious! Would recommend!!!!

I came with 2 gluten eaters. When we were seated, the first question was, “Does anyone have any allergies or need the GF menu?” It made me feel so safe! When I went to wash my hands shortly after ordering, I overheard our server tell the kitchen to remember their allergen protocols for his GF order. My leftovers came in a box that was a different color than regular pizza. Wonderful experience! The bread that I was brought before my meal was the best I’ve had in years! I unfortunately discovered I don’t actually like deep dish style pizza very much (too many chunks of tomatoes vs. a smooth sauce), but that has nothing to do with Chicago’s; I would still go back for the safety alone!

Amazing! Before we placed an order, he asked if anyone had allergies or Celiac. We let him know our daughter has Celiac & he brought out gluten free bread for her. She ordered the deep dish pizza & brought her cheese bread while she waited. It was so delicious! I seriously saw tears in her eyes. People don’t understand how something like bread is so uncommon for Celiacs. The pizza was amazing! I highly recommend for Celiacs! Safe & delicious!

This reminds me of my home town pizza place. Thick plastic table clothes, a little smoky, great service, easy place to take kids. The crust isn’t anything to rave about but it definitely filled me up. Wish I had tried the garlic bread!

Specifically made the trip to ChicaGo’s Pizza when we came to town. Dinner bread is warm slices of focaccia with olive oil to dip. Deep Dish Special Pizza GF has a polenta based crust. Greek Side Salad was BIG! Server asked right away if anyone was GF, then checked each item that each person ordered whether it was GF or not, and was anyone sharing - then would make it all GF so no cross-contamination. Plus, the GF pizza comes in every size that they make “other” pizza - it’ NOT the “one size” only for GF pizza that I see at other places.

This is our go-to pizza spot! The crust is good and not grainy. Never gotten sick and have had it several times. They also have GF penne that you can sub in and GF focaccia for sandwiches, which I haven’t tried yet but definitely plan to. The pizza comes in a marked GF box which just takes away the stress of having food delivered and not knowing which is which. Such a life saver for having friends over as we can get both GF and non to satisfy the group!

One of the first questions they asked when seating us was if we were gluten free. I commented on it and they told me that they bring fresh warm bread to table to start and they like to know if one of the bread needs to be gluten free. I have Celiac. I made a reservation ahead of time and informed them that I was the only one in my party with Celiac. When we arrived they asked us if anyone had allergies, we said yes, and they asked who all was GF. I told them just me. They brought me my own appetizer bread and brought it separate from the rest of the party. My husband & I ordered GF deep dish & thin crust so I could try both lol. He even LOVED them & said it didn't taste GF. I agree! The deep dish was my personal fave which is funny because I'm not really a deep dish person but it was so good! We got medium pizzas and they were HUGE so will definitely just get smalls next time. Lol

Was so happy that my two children with celiac could try real Chicago style pizza. Most GF pizza is thin crust. Staff was fantastic. Asked us when we walked in if anyone was gluten free. Had gluten free bread for the table and most items were available gluten free. Box for carry out is marked gluten free. I had read that they have a separate oven and space to prepare the GF food. Great service and very attentive to GF needs. Reconfirmed GF order and even brought out small piece of GF bread prior to pizza arriving. My celiac son loves the stuffed crust pizza and did not experience any issues. Highly recommend this Chicago style pizza restaurant!

Where to start?!? I am honestly speechless (in a good way)! The first question the hostess asked us when we walked into the restaurant was “is there anyone gluten free in your party?” Not only was the level of detail and attention by staff phenomenal, but service was incredibly attentive and friendly. The atmosphere of the whole place was fantastic. They brought homemade gluten free focaccia bread to the table as a free appetizer, it tasted like traditional wheat bread. The stuffed crust tasted like “real” pizza, truly everything was amazing! Additionally almost all of the menu was gluten free (even some of the desserts menu) and I am confident that the kitchen really knows what they are doing. I do not live anywhere near this restaurant, but anytime I am remotely near Chicago, I will be making a trip to this place. I really am in awe. Both the flan and the death by chocolate cake are fantastic, and I am leaving with my taste buds quivering in absolutely ecstasy.

Great experience with this location. I have never gotten sick. They have a separate gf area and offer gluten free deserts. Well, two. But the chocolate silk pie to amazing anyway.

I have Celiac (though over the years I have become less symptomatic) and felt comfortable eating here. The waiter assured me that their gluten free pizzas are prepared in a dedicated area with dedicated ingredients and cooked in a separate oven. They also brought gluten free bread to eat with olive oil before the food arrived which was a nice touch. I did not feel sick afterwards.

The service was incredible - they really went above and beyond to accommodate us! The food was fabulous, too! Fresh ingredients and impeccable taste. I have to be gluten free (GF) but the rest of my family isn't. They have GF focaccia bread for starters and have lots of GF options! Both Gf and normal pizzas were delicious. Can't wait to come back and enjoy this again.
