It was late...been driving all day and still had lots of miles to go....so I said it was ok to stop and go here....I am not a fan of Chick Fil A because they do not take Celiac disease seriously....but I Was so impressed with this particular one. The girl who took my order went and got the manager and then the manager said he would prepare my food...My food came out exactly how I ordered it..in a separate bag...I was not cross contaminated...This was a very good surprise!!
Went and ordered grilled chicken sandwich meal minus bun meal for my son - gluten free as they have a protocol (supposedly). We got our meal and everything had buns. Too risky for us. Not safe for celiac. Safe not very educated.
Glad to have a GF fast food option for those rare occassions! Great service! They even had a GF protocol & drive thru ordering was easy - I'm impressed! Unfortunately, we got home & the kids meals had breaded chx instead of grilled... Honest mistake I hope. It's never happened before, next time we'll check before leaving. It's still fast food afterall.
Awesome! Passing through Grand Junction and was happy to find that there was Chick fil a in town. Thrilled with gf options. This store specifically was friendly and very courteous- went through drive thru so I can't really comment on anything except how amazing their grilled nuggets are and their fries. Sad they weren't open when I drove back through town but am happy that they respect their employees enough to give them a well deserved day off! Go chick fil a!!
I am dropping my rating from a 5 to a 3. They do have an allergen list at the register and a button to designate "gluten allergy." However, despite these measures, I have received fried nuggets twice. Both times were drive thru orders. Be very cautious if you choose to eat here.
I ordered Grilled chicken with GF bun. I paid for a GF bun. The guy that handed to me said it is a GF bun. The bun was out of the package and made up with the sandwich. It is supposed to be served in the bag. But on closer inspection it wasn't even a gluten free bun!! It was a regular bun. Shame on them.
I was very sad when I thought I couldn't have Chick-fil-a anymore when I was diagnosed with Celiac. Everything here that I would get was fried but then I did some research and it turns out that there are tons of GF options and now I love to go there all the time.
Love the waffle fries I order them without added salt they use a dedicated fryer and the grilled chicken nuggets are great avoid the grilled chicken patty it's not as good as the nuggets. They offer a gluten free bun now don't get its crumbly and inedible.
Chick fil a now offers a gluten free bun that is served in a sealed plastic bag. its pretty good but there is an upcharge of $1.15. Overall decent for a quick meal.
I have eaten at this location a half dozen times. However, I had a bad reaction after my most recent visit. I had a grilled chicken salad. I notified the staff of my allergy. Half way though my salad, I found two pieces of fried chicken in my bowl. I was sick all afternoon. Next time will limit to fries and vanilla shake.
Love chick fil a. I always get grilled nuggets and fries and specify I have a gluten allergy. Make sure you check which sauces are okay but I love chick fil a and Polynesian sauce. I also probably wouldn't feel safe getting shakes unless I was the first person to get one since they have cookies and cream ones. Not sure how I react to cross contamination so I gave a 4 instead of a 5
I've been here several times and always get the grilled market salad (without blue cheese. I haven't had any reaction (yet) but I only gave 4 stars because when you say you have an allergy they have no clue what that means to them in turns of protecting the costumer. BUT, they are still super nice!
They now have gluten-free buns nationwide! Great food; great service; solid GF choices. Their grilled chicken items (sans buns) and most salads are GF, as are most of their salad dressings and condiments. They also publish the ingredients of their GF items in their Website. They do not have a separate GF prep area, but their procedures are designed to prevent cross-contamination. Try the Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken and Lime Avocado Ranch. Also VERY kid-friendly!
Not sure what the person is talking about on the other review about marinade. I've eaten grilled chicken at Chick-fil-As across the country as they serve it and I've never gotten sick from it ever. The bun isn't the worst I've ever had. It's a new thing they're offering and I'm really glad they have it. I was tired of just getting nuggets all the time. Fries are made in a dedicated frier and I feel like I can just walk in and order food like a normal human being. Something I can't do at most places.
Chil fil a is consistently outstanding. Manager in training took our order, very knowledgeable about celiac, cross contamination and what was okay, pleasant, store immaculate. Everything but fried chicken gluten free. Have gf buns and gf fries. Chik fil a is a standby for two our kids with celiac.
Have had the gluten free bun / grilled chicken meal a few times here and have had great experiences. Everyone is very nice and listens when you say it's for an allergy. You prepare the sandwich yourself, gluten free bun is in a sealed bag. The bun itself isn't *the best* and it's a little dry, but it does the job. I'm very happy to have the meal option!!
This location has always made me sick. Even after explaining that I had celiac and to prevent cross contamination, there were fried chicken pieces in my fries. After contacting the manager, he just kept stating that his staff are trained, but also stated he didn't fully understand celiac. I've tried expressing my concerns and finally gave up ever eating here, unfortunately. I definitely do not recommend for the gluten intolerant and especially for those with celiac.
My daughter has celiac. I asked the director on duty that day if they could accommodate her, and he stated that their fries are all cooked separately in canola oil, without gluten contamination! What a pleasant surprise! And their grilled chicken is also gluten free. He made sure that the kitchen staff knew our food was for somebody with celiac disease. So thankful to find a fast food place that can accommodate celiac diets!
I react to even the smallest bit of cc and I have never been sick here. I get the grilled nuggets and fries. I've gotten the grilled chicken sandwich with the new gf bun a few times too. Just tell them it's an allergy (they understand what that means more than celiac) and they will flag the order and change gloves. You can also have them bag it separately if you're ordering with other people. Never had an issue at this location and I've been probably 50 times this year. It's the only place I eat out!
Nope. Wouldn't even say their salads could be made GF (on line state GF) in the store very non committal, even though they now have a GF bun. I watched my family eat.
now a new option. a grilled chicken sandwich served with a gluten free bun sealed in plastic. with fries and a drink I feel like everyone else. really good!
Total mixed bag- the employees were a little rude when we told them our daughter needed to be gluten free, but they took the right precautions. The first GF bun they gave us was moldy (in its own sealed bag), but they were apologetic and replaced it immediately and refunded our money.
