I was just told the flour tortilla was safe because it was made with flour not wheat. All utensils touch the tortillas. They put on gloves but didn't seem to understand how to stay gf.
Yes
Last couple of times I've been here, I've been told that for GF they won't get food from the back. Instead, they change their gloves and change spoons that they use on the food line. Seriously- change spoons? What does that do? Any contamination that was on those spoons is now in the food containers. I've also watched as flour tortillas hang into the containers closest to the workers. When we asked for food from the back and explained it is for medical reasons, there is one worker there that has given us the BIG eye roll. This happened twice now. Then this person pushes our request off onto someone else. Usually the people they hand it over to are very friendly and pleasant. We will avoid this Chipolte because of the bad attitude- don't like being made to feel like we are a burden.
Yes
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
Really delicious food. They'll change gloves for you after handling flour tortillas, too.
As a mom of a recently celiac diagnosed kiddo (11yo), we are still learning how to adjust. Based on other reviews here we decided to try this chipotle location. Wow. They did everything others said, washes hands, changed gloves, cleaned, changed spoons and only one person handled my sons food, then they bagged it separate so it wasn't touched. He was nervous cause some places made him feel like a burden, not here, he said he felt special and really appreciated how he was treated. The food was really good. We will definitely go back there.

We eat at chipotle frequently. They are willing to change gloves. All ingredients, besides flour tortillas, are Gluten free. Could be in issue with cross contamination for cheese and lettuce, but they sometime accommodate by using the fresh containers stored below.

I have mixed feelings about this location. I’ve had good and bad experiences here. The employees who have helped me look annoyed when I’ve mentioned that I have an allergy but they will change gloves. One employee walked away and tried to give my bowl to the next person before realizing his mistake. They also tried to put a wrapped tortilla in my bag 🥴.

Just ate there. Manager had utensils as well as glove changes. Asked if I wanted food from back as well. Great job
