The only item with gluten is their burrito shell so it's very easy to get exactly what you want without too much concern for cross-contamination. They've always been willing to change gloves whenever I have asked.
No
Ask them to change gloves for you and ask the first person to only make your item to prevent cross contamination. They will do it..make sure you watch them I had one woman once who washed hands changed gloves started my bowl and then had to go get another tortilla for another customer and touched the shell then tried to touch my food. †Update- in the last month or so I have eaten here twice. Both times I have had cross contamination and I am done here. The glutening has been pretty severe reactions. the other chipotles in the area have been more careful just not this one. DO NOT GO HERE. Loosing two stars. So pissed!!!!!
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
😭🥰 I just had the best experience here! I felt a little anxious as it was the peak of lunch time, but the line was incredible! They took out the utensils, cleaned the bar, and were gracious. The food it delicious! I made sure to tell the manager how great her staff was. I’ll be back.

Stopped here for lunch while traveling through the area. I asked the first person to change their gloves. They didn’t understand, but another employee helped explain. I had to ask the next employee down the line let the first person continue to add the toppings. There was much confusion about this. I guess it was ok in the end because I didn’t get sick. But I wouldn’t recommend this location. The rice tasted different and they were completely out of ice. Warm soda topped off a pretty frustrating experience.

Of the local locations it’s the best. But still not great. They’ll take the precautions as needed. But, and fully understanding why, at lunch rush you’ll have to wait and they’ll be obviously upset. And the drive thru/ online order is always cross contaminated.

Ordered online which might have been a mistake. They have the option to select and allergy and I was careful with my ordering and making notes, but still got sick.

My favorite chipotle! If I order on the app, I label my meal as “name + gluten allergy”. The staff always changes their gloves before handling my bowl. I’ve never gotten sick!
